So now the question becomes, does slu let them play during the appeals process IF the decision was favorable to the players?? And would the players take the risk of blowing a year of eligibility for a couple of games in the event the decision is overturned? I’m guessing we won’t see them until it’s truly over if at all.

True. Assuming the appeals phase just started today however, the Feb 3 home game against Fordham would be the first game after the completion of the gold standard process. If we don’t see the three in that game, we aren’t gonna see them.

Appreciate your input. I think most, at least speaking for myself, aren’t necessarily upset with the process itself but more that slu, and I would think pestello sighted off on, the interim arrangement where the players are allowed to do everything except play while the process is ongoing. The process itself is what it is and pestello or anyone else can’t really do anything about that. I would though think they should’ve had the foresight to realize this would drag on for over half the season and come up with a better initial punishment. What happens if the players are cleared?! Is slu just going to say sorry?

The fact that he wouldn’t comment seems to align with his tactics here. His leadership abilities are definitely questionable.

Love the sweet 16 at Tennessee talk. They were in the play in game that year and lucked into a couple wins. I’ll give the guy credit for making the tournament but not like they were some slam dunk great team.

So are we now entering kangaroo court phase of the process? If so, that means nothing will happen during the entire Christmas break. Guarantee slu admins are basically hoping all three transfer so they won’t have to address the situation further.
