  1. If only we had Justin Love for one more game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. yea, i'm going to need one too. KWAMAIN thank you.
  3. Everyone alive? No heartattacks after that game.
  4. The 3,470 seat gym-Fordham website I think this does have something to do with the gym. They usually don't fill it and for the big games, Xavier, theres only 3470 seats. Thats a 1/3 the size of Chaifetz at a university (thanks Bay Area) including grad students has almost 3000 more students than SLU, but is also in the biggest city in the US, far bigger than the STL.
  5. I think Fordham could improve if they want to. They have one benefit SLU does not have. They are in the capital of the world NYC. If they could get some of the numerous local recruits and if they ever build a new gym they will imporve. I just don't seeing them replacing that gym, which is the oldest D1 gym still in use. Hopefully they will imporve because they are a similar school as Bay Area Bill said, catholic, jesuit, and don't forget urban.
  6. Pregame is a safer bet though. What if we lose, kinds of puts a bad vibe on the whole thing.
  7. "Hometown Hero" does have a nice ring to it. It would be so nice to get him because he is an awesome player and we could stick it to Mizzou, KU, UNC etc.....
  8. I don't see how anyone could slight Ed Macauley. Won the NIT in 48 and was AP player of the year in 49. The best part is his mother allowed him to choose any college that was "Catholic and in St. Louis". Really widened his possibilites. Ed Macauley should never not be on the top Billikens list unless we get some superstars in the years to come (knock on wood).
  9. I wasn't standing up for the priest, just because he went to St. Mary's, and i am not choosing sides either, i was just saying i think he is a St. Mary's alum.
  10. Good ole' St. Mary's gets me through another one (greatest high school ever). I think Father Quirk is a St. Mary's alum too so I don't think he was aiming at all you other Dragons out there.
  11. I agree that the A10 should be TEN teams. You get to play everyone twice and i think that will lead to more intense rivalries between the teams. But I think the best solution would to try and get a ten team Catholic conference. Dayton, Fordham, Xavier, St. Bona, St. Joes, SLU, LaSalle, and Duquesne are alleady in the A10. I know that means Fordham, St. Bona, and LaSalle are still in, but Fordham is the only really bad team and have been terrible for a while. I think it would be hard to get Creighton or DePaul to join the new conference, maybe Detroit-Mercy (beat us this year) or Holy Cross. I highly doubt this would ever happen. Assuming Creighton and DePaul didn't join it would be.... with kenpom rpi... Xavier-24 Dayton-81 Duquesne-91 St. Joe's-101 LaSalle-109 SLU-139 Holy Cross-181 St. Bona-188 Detroit-Mercy-277 Fordham-321 ...giving you an average rpi of 151.2, not too bad or you could add Mount Saint Mary's rpi 131. The A10's rpi is 125.5 right now so not too much worse, Fordham and DM would really bring it down. So maybe someday the Catholic Athletic Conference.
