  1. Did not mean to make it seem like a solid debate was not something that this board should or wanted to have. Debate is the best thing that could happen for a fan base because it shows it is truly interested in the team. Also, more students than you would imagine have begun following this board in the last year. Look at the attendance at a simple exhibition game this year compared to actual regular season games in the last few years. Dont want to seem like im complaining just voicing an opinion which many have expressed on campus in recent weeks.
  2. Why does every thread turn into an argument between you guys. Whether you care or not, as a current student I can tell you that this board has lost a lot of support from the current student fan base due to all of the crap you guys get into on a regular basis here. At times, I have even heard comments that it dulls down peoples excitement as everything they hear in the preseason and during the season on this site ends up being negative. Chill out and stop bickering every GD day. Enjoy the Bills.
  3. Not a matter of clearance but he has parted ways with the team. His final two schools are San Francisco and Hawaii so best of luck to the one and only highlight.
  4. Love the realistic outlook. He would be doing his CURRENT players a disservice if he was not prepared for something to happen.
  5. Good Lord... this is the leader for this years fall from grace award. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=4504739
  6. Max 'Highlight' Banchy is the man. To be honest I have not really seen Max play. But from what I hear I would say he is MUCH better than any walk on we have had in quite some time and probably as good as some of the scholie players we have had in the past few years... He is a preferred walk-on so its not like he just showed up in the rec and tried out with anyone who wanted to show up. The kid can actually play and the coaching staff obviously agreed with that. Everyone says he can really shoot which is something not even our starting PG could do a few years ago and the type of asset which creates value for any player at any time... As for minutes, I don't even know how we are going to find minutes for all of our scholarship guards at this point so that ones in RickMa's hands. I managed to put aside my exam prep to get that video up... Lets not get my priorities mixed up here! It is KM going first and the kid he and Willie jump over is Justin Jordan who, at 5'9 or 5'10 can also dunk with ease from what i hear (but cannot confirm). This squad could pretty much be a Slam Ball or Rock N Jock all star team in the next few years.
  7. http://www.youtube.com/user/pbishop2 off to take a test... Let me know if this works.
  8. Lets be fair... He jumps over a sitting Justin Jordan and merely does a windmill.... I hate youtube as well but will probably end up posting it on there as that seems to be the only way to get it done. I have an exam at 2 but should be back around 330 to put it up.
  9. I already have the file saved on my desktop... No one needs to get on his facebook.
  10. A video was taken by Max Banchy aka Highlight of a few dunks by KM and WR. He said I could post the video on here but have no idea how to do that without putting it on youtube... any help?
  11. Has anyone heard anything about a midnight madness.... None of the players have heard of anything, Coach Majerus is not a fan of this type of thing (and thats an understatement) BUT... The event list I saw for The Fetz concession stands has an Oct. 16th-17th date for a 'Midnight Madness' event... any news? Is there anything else that could be called midnight madness?
  12. After seeing corey and Smith with each other, Remeuken really does not look that skinny at all.... More importantly, when Jon Smith teabag dunks on Jordan Crawford thereby also dunking 'on' Lebron James I am going to fill my arm with replica Jon Smith tats and buy every one of his jerseys in the bills store. mark it down.
  13. Glad to see we got a recruit! On a lighter note... I was really worried we would not have any skinny 6'6 SF for the upcoming years.....
  14. HIGHLIGHT HIGHLIGHT HIGHLIGHT. Ive got my highlight shirt ready to go for the season. Is it gameday yet?
  15. Not huge news but its something to read... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/bask...0.ap/index.html
  16. I would gladly take a draw and clearly the US team would be more than satisfied with this as well. I was listening to one of the ESPN soccer podcasts and the word is Bradley may be looking to start Ching and Altidore up top instead of Davies. Ching, as they said, would be able to slow the game down and give us some possession. I have no doubts we will play conservative and do not expect to see a lot of the free flowing soccer we saw in the Confederations Cup. One thing which is huge for us is that Rafa Marquez will not be available. I am not much of an expert on the Mexican National Team but I would have to assume he is their most talented and strongest leader in back? Do you guys think we go with the same backline of Spector, Demerit, Gooch and Carlos or does Bradley move Carlos back to center and give someone else with more experience in an environment like the Azteca a try out left?? My prediction: USA 1 Mexico 1 if we play conservative. If we go out like we did in S. Africa... USA 3 Mexico 2
  17. Per Biancardi's write up on ESPN.com: Notes See you in St. Louis A pair of St. Louis prospects made noise on Monday. For 2011 standout Bradley Beal (St. Louis/Chaminade), the game seemed effortless. His game is smooth with little wasted movement. He scores in a variety of ways: He makes long-range shots, puts the ball on the floor to attack the rim and shoots the pull-up jump shot. He uses a hesitation move to keep the defense off balance, and explodes with a first step that covers a lot of ground in a hurry. He does not force the issue, letting the game come to him. Beal's basketball intelligence and skills make him one of the country's best for 2011. Beal's St. Louis Eagles club teammate Roosevelt Jones (O'Fallon, Ill.) was an impressive on Day 2. He is a hard-working, high energy wing player who is always attacking in transition. He pursues the basketball relentlessly at both ends of the floor. Jones seems to be in the right place at the right time on the offensive glass for easy second-chance baskets. He gets his hands on the basketball as much as possible on the defensive end, and his deflections and steals led the St. Louis Eagles to a dominating second half performance in its monday matchup. 18. It sounds as though he may be one of the starting center backs... Maldini is gone and its not like Milan's back line is a star studded crew. Big move for Gooch.
  19. Benny is my man crush on this squad. I think he could be one of those unknown players who blows up at the world cup if given the chance to play.
  20. Great win for this squad as confidence was something we had been lacking for the last year and a half and this raises that level 21093812039812098312 notches. 1. A great part of the importance of this really has little to do directly with the national team but more so indirectly. Finally Jozy, Benny, Demps, Gooch, Landon ect. have proven over the last two games that they can compete with the best in the world. This HAS to give them more of an opportunity to compete with their clubs/new clubs in Europe. If we want to be prepared for a world cup, we cant realistically rely on the competition of the MLS or CONCACAF to get everyone ready. Especially for young players like Jozy, playing time at the highest level for top Euro clubs should finally start to come around and this will be immensely beneficial. 2. With the emergence of Demerit, we may have solved our left back problem pretty quickly. Bocanegra is more of a natural outside back and plays this position for his club. I also really like Spector's toughness but will Hejduk still get the start here even though he is much much older? 3. The red cards have gotten out of hand. I was watching on a British feed and the announcers said in the EPL that would be a free kick and MAYBE a yellow if the ref was calling the game tightly. There is no way that card on Bradley was a straight red. Can these be protested? Bradley should not have hit the ground in that situation and even made a red possible, but no way this was worth a sending off. 4. Why did it take 2 1/2 years to realize that we needed to pair one of our big, possession forwards (Ching, Altidore) with someone more disruptive and quick rather than leave them up top alone? Did this have more to do with a lack of confidence in the mids? 5. I actually like Clark in the middle with Bradley and think they compliment each other very well. Clark may not be the most skilled player on the field but his ability to defend and tackle allows Bradley to roam and attack with much more freedom and makes us incredibly more dangerous.
  21. I feel like from what Ive read/heard/seen of Jones, he is Michael Bradley pt 2... we dont need another Bradley as I think he is one of our stronger assets
