I think the article has greater impact to potential recruits for the schools mentioned as opponents this year.

Gee. I wonder why? SLU is really taking it on the nose for this idiotic display of poor judgment. And rightly so I might add. Goes to show you just how desperate a coach can get when things go south for a program. I say get rid of the cancer and try and salvage what's left of ythe reputation.

Hey, quit ripping the kid. It's his choice and his decision. Besides, Lindenwood is not that big a drop from SLU.

When SLU has a football team.

I heard (from reliable sources I might add but who wish to remain annonamoose (like in Bullwinkle) that Thompson will return to STL, play for SLCC and play under a Mafia name (Capone to be correct) and put out a contract on RM. Then he will tranfer to another D1 powerhouse (Fontbonne).

Wasn't his first pick the Salukis anyway? Besides, where is he going to go? Would have to go down a division to be eligible. He'll just stay.

SLU also needs to up their SOS (currently at 318 or so) dramatically. SLU is viewed as a local/regional school at best.

Before you badmouth other conferences you should first realize that SLU is a wannabee in a second rate conference. A better fit for the Dr. Seuss mascot would be STLCC, Mineral Area College, Jefferson Community College, and possibly Southeastern Illinois Junior College.

Who really cares anyway? Not the local media. Not the local citizens. Not the national media for sure. No one, other than the local students who attend SLU, really care; and most of them have the maturity level of a high school freshman. SLU's a joke when it comes to BB. Always a Wannabe.

We are lucky as all heck to get RM. I still don't know why he didn't go to a national power. However, don't count on him being here more than 3 years....tops. His health is not good.
