She is a great coach, and she certainly will be missed. She loved it at SLU, but the chance to go home, where her dad has built one of the most successful club programs (KIVA),as well as one of the top high school programs(Assumption)in the country, gives her a fertile recruiting ground she could not find here.
However, with the right hire, I see the program remaining atop the A-10. The new coach will find a roster stacked with young and talented players. Recruiting should remain steady. SLU is an attractive place for the plethora of very intelligent Catholic girls looking for a school that fits their goals(which are far diferent than men's basketball players). The A-10 is not very competitive when it comes to vb, so winning the conference is something they should compete for with or without Coach Kordes.
