  1. Do you want a shorter rotation this year? If so, when should Crews figure out who's in this shorter rotation?
  2. Sorry to derail the thread, but by my count, Welmer was 4 for 6 from three and 2 for 4 in the paint during the scrimmage. He pulled down one tough offensive rebound near the end too. There was a play where he had an open look from 3 but didn't shoot, and after the play Milik told him "you've gotta shoot that." He is a bean pole so I won't expect a whole lot in the paint this year, but he has a quick release and can really stroke it. If we can have a good stretch 4 this year it would be huge for our offense. Overall they looked a lot better yesterday than the other practices. The score was 40-34 after 20 minutes of basketball with a 24 sec shot clock, but there were some obvious defensive lapses. There were some bad turnovers which will happen this year. The shooting and passing was good and no one got seriously chewed out like they did in the other practices.
  3. Lunardi put out a new bracket today. Dayton as a 10, Rhode Island as an 11 in the play in game, and........that's it. Needless to say the A10 will do a bit better than that. http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/bracketology
  4. URI, GW, Dayton, Davidson, St Joes, Richmond, and VCU in some order.
  5. Gladiators Trier in the German 2nd division http://www.eurobasket.com/Germany/news/413916/Dwayne-Evans-Moves-To-The-Gladiators-Trier
  6. I really felt he would be a Billiken a few weeks ago, and that feeling slowly waned, mainly due to how he's close with Giles. He chose what he thought was best for him. I'm getting to the same point as you about expectations, Bizziken. It's kinda sad. I'm not sure when we're going to be good again.
  7. Nice shot. Now let's get to the main event.
  8. I like how Cusumano's tweet didn't include UNC at all.
  9. Tatum retweeted this. Looks like it's a done deal.
  10. That prediction is way too optimistic. I predict Tatum goes to Duke, we go 0-30 this season, all the players transfer, all the coaches are fired, the arena is torn down, and the program is disbanded.
  11. Jayson will most likely stay at Chaminade until he wins 10 state championships, then go play intramural ball at SLU.
  12. Predictions: McBroom will score less than 15 ppg at EWU this coming season. SLU will be ranked higher than EWU on Kenpom this coming season.
  13. I thought I read on the A10 board he was considering it, but I may have just made that up.
  14. They should be "fine" in the long term (near the top of the A10 and in the dance year after year). But with the entire freshman class plus Tillman gone, and Larrier possibly gone too, they could easily be not "fine" this coming season (middle of the pack or worse in A10).
  15. Green Bay head coach Brian Wardle is going to Bradley. That's not much of a step up, if it's a step up at all.
  16. We need Tatum to commit and stay all 4 years.
  17. Yes, he doesn't really take them at all. He's also a beanpole and turns the ball over too much. But I disagree with this sentiment that we have a massive hole at PG, we must recruit one immediately, and that recruit would then step in and play major minutes next season. Also feels like Bartley can't be a PG because he's 6-4, and SLU doesn't get 6-4 PG's. Similarly, Neufeld can't be good as a freshman because SLU doesn't get bigs who are good as freshman.
  18. Not sure why Bartley isn't considered our starting PG right now. Highest 3PT% and assist rate among returning players. Is it because he's 6-4 and a PG must be smaller than that?
  19. Any idea what tournament we're in for next season?
  20. That's true, if we really want a recruit we will make a scholarship become available.
