Milik looked good yesterday. He had some good drives to the hoop and made a couple 3's. He looked more in control than last year, and if he can add a reliable 3 point shot to his game it would really help us offensively. Bartley and Bishop both made multiple 3's. The team is definitely not afraid to take early shots. Neufeld didn't score but grabbed some good rebounds. Ash, Roby, Crawford, Reggie, and Gillmann didn't do much. I can't recall Jolly doing anything noticeable at all in the August practices or yesterday.

When schools like Mizzou have only 2 national championships across all sports for their entire history, SLU should be commemorating the 10 soccer championships. #BillikenWay is terrible though.

I'm one of the "blind optimists" but if we only win 4 more games this year, that isn't an acceptable rate of progress. That is, if we want the program to be in the NCAAs more often than not. We shouldn't be hoping to make it once every 4-5 years with a senior-laden team. The goal should be to win 17-18 games and give us some hope of an NCAA appearance in 16-17.

How many of those teams were 300th or worse? How many of them lost key players from last season? Our young guys need to improve, a lot. I don't think anyone is denying this. But last season was not quite the same situation as a team like Davidson, who was 283rd in experience, but had the senior POY, two other junior guards, and one breakout sophomore.

This thread sucks, but iff we are near the bottom of the conference again the AD needs to seriously consider making a change.
