  1. Good. I'm glad I'm not the only one.
  2. I have one problem with Gary. I don't mind him calling in and ripping SLU or the coach. He can do what he wants. But I don't like the fact he rambles on about everything wrong and then hangs up right after he talks, not giving Rammer or Coach a chance to respond to him personally or ask him questions back. Maybe I'm the only one that feels like that.
  3. Moosman committed very early and could have gone to bigger and better places if he would have waited, but give him credit for sticking with his committment. I don't fault Brad with this one. Many wanted to see his senior season, a season where he bulked up a lot and scored points almost at will. He was a different player.
  4. Moosman is another kid that committed early and would have had more offers had he waited. He had a breakout senior season. But he stuck with his committment to Miami, which I admire. And it is working out alright for him as he is starting and dancing now.
  5. Lindbergh is just cold. That is a shame. They are getting chances - from the sounds of it.
  6. 20-17 North is up at the half. They are using their size. Lindbergh isn't very big, but their zone has worked pretty well. North isn't hitting their outside shots. I'm not sure the exact point totals, but Booker has scored his fair share and John is probably second. I think Roundtree has just a bucket. Go Flyers!
  7. Huggins could hire Irons to be his assistant. That would be a match made in heaven.
  8. So you don't want a coach that stands for good morals and doing the right thing. Makes sense.
  9. I heard Rammer say the same thing this morning. I wonder if it was just a mistake, but who knows?
  10. Speaking of Bernie. He seems to take a shot at SLU whenever possible. Some of it is valid but not all of it. This was in one of his latest columns: "I hope Chris Lowery stays, even if it means that he'll continue to embarrass St. Louis U. by recruiting St. Louis-area players to Carbondale." SIUC has one St. Louis player on the roster right now (Falker) and most considered him a reach/project at the time he was recruited. Now Lowery did get the two players from McCluer recently, but that makes three St. Louis area players on his roster. Am I missing something here? Is Lowery really embarrassing SLU? I'm disappointed we didn't get Roundtree, but he is one of many top 2008 recruits. That statement just seems off base to me and another attempt for Bernie to bash the Billikens. Oh well.
  11. Mizzou only has a scholarship or maybe two available for next season and I think they are going for bigger fish than Powell. If he is waiting for the Tigers, he might not get his wish.
  12. Anyone else listening to Rammer this morning? He is upset with some local news outlets for going on the air and saying Ian was benched before the game started. He said that these news outlets got this information from a chat room. Wonder where that was from? I have an idea. Rammer didn't think that was a very good journalistic practice, which I have to agree with if they indeed got their info from this board.
  13. I don't think SLU will ever fire a coach that has a winning record. Just look at what had to happen in Mizzou before Quinn was gone. That program was at rock bottom. I don't think SLU has to hit that kind of low to fire Brad, but he will have to at least have a losing record - not saying that is right or wrong.
  14. I'm sure SLU can get a coach like Huggins. They would love to come here. Keep dreaming. Brad will be gone in a year or two and then eveyrone on the board will be calling for the next coach to get canned after a year or two under that regime - I can see it now.
  15. Coaches saying stuff like this after a game is not out of the ordinary. I appreciate his candor more than Quinn's bull down at Mizzou that last few seasons. Would you rather have him keep blowing smoke up all our you know what like that? I wouldn't. And Bruce Weber was saying very similar stuff to Brad earlier this season when the Illini were in a funk. I'm not getting bent out of shape over his comments. I more upset at the players than the coach. I think they need to be held accountable as much as Brad. All the turnovers are a joke for this team - unacceptable. There is plenty of blame to go around for this team right now - it isn't all Brad's fault.
  16. Just because players haven't committed early doesn't mean he is sitting on scholarships.
  17. Anybody else hear Frank going on about how Suggs and Brad's kid are close now. Apparently, they hang out and stuff. Interesting.
  18. I can't believe how out of control this board is over one recruit. And I'm guessing about 75% of the board didn't know who Roundtree was before yesterday - yet this was a huge miss and the end of the world for SLU basketball. Amazing stuff. I'm not oblivious either. I know Brad needs to get the recruits the next two seasons, but I'm just a little shocked over the reaction of this one.
  19. Maybe I was overstating by saying his choices are down to those schools. He hasn't ruled any school out yet - that is true - but those are the top four as of now. Again, you can call me out all you want, but I'll believe who is telling me this over anyone on this board. And as has been stated several times, Suggs is very close to his family and the feeling is he'll want to stay close to home. So SLU, Mizzou and the Illini have the edge over some of the other schools.
  20. I have more than a "gut" feeling that says Suggs choices are down to SLU, Washington, Illini and Mizzou. I won't reveal my source, but I know someone very close to him and this is the way he is leaning right now. I feel very confident in stating that.
  21. I'm confused why everyone is getting all excited about Harrelson's game against Vashon. The V is not the dominate team of past seasons - sorry VTIME. They are solid, but not the best team in the area and several teams are rated ahead of them in the latest polls. I don't see them winning state. They likely won't even get to the final four this season. They need Floyd back to get some new recruits in there.
  22. You should be his agent. Again, he is going to one of the worst NCAA teams in the country. I don't know why you and some others are so hung up on this guy. He would not have started for us next season. I know you think that, but I wouldn't even count on him starting for Western Illinois. He has come a long way since last season, but he still has a lot of work to do to produce at the D-1 level.
  23. Here is an update on Eckerle. From what I have heard - from good sources - he narrowed his list of schools to SLU, Wash U, Drury and Southern Illinois. And if he goes to SLU, he will use his academic scholarship and walk on. I know many want us to jump all over Eckerle and offer him a scholarship, but if he is considering going to a D-II and D-III school, I'm not sure how much help he'll be for us. I know several in the area out there, and they aren't sure he can play D-I. Just thought I would give you an update on his status.
