Wow. It's going to be in the STL area. I'll take my lumps on this one..

I recognize that he tends to be a "fanboy" and is prove to overstating certain situations, but Frank just said on his show that today is "the last day that Josh Schertz will be the coach at Indiana St" Just a few minutes later he said that someone at SLU told him that the NIL money will be there to bring the Indiana State studs to SLU
I realize this is going to come off nitpicky but a bit of me doesn't like the attitude of talking about Schertz like that when he's been so adamant to not speak on the situation. Seems a bit rude. Idk. Not shooting the messenger, Drew.

Top 5 Billiken memory of mine. Fun to watch a game in a new environment for that novelty. A good night spent with my dad.
One of mine too, one of the few in person Billiken games I was with both my uncle who made the Billiken fan I am today and my mom for. Was sitting way closer than I had at Scottrade and center court.

Miserable is too harsh I think.......it was a good game......better than West Pine by.....well.....a lot.
They have upgraded it a bit. But it's still a dump. I'd rather watch it there than any other feasible option in the area(Enterprise is not one of them)

Let's get his and Romar's mentor, Jim Harrick. Only 85 yo, former National champion with A10 experience
How is the corpse reanimation science coming along?

No. Moderate results with unlimited resources at the Cult of the GCU.

I at least want a neutral site. I feel like that's not unreasonable for a championship. Maybe the other twin city across town or something.
that’s clearly not how this tournament is operating.

Are any of those suited/prepared for basketball, though, is the question.
Maturi Pavilion hosted the Minnesota State High School Girls Basketball Tournament https://www.mshsl.org/sites/default/files/2024-03/2024 Girls Basketball Spectator Guide_0.pdf
We aren't getting a local game. Unfortunately.

Minnesota has Maturi Pavillion used for Volleyball, 3M Arena used for Men's Hockey and Ridder Arena used for Women's Hockey

The Vermont coach really the bed not fouling. Does she have the under?

attending a game there looks like the least comfortable experience unless you’re standing.

This team is so dumb in the best way.

Chris May is still a wiener. He did nothing and is controlled by Chaifetz and other money guys. Glorified admin. That’s it. Guy is a loser.
If you’re as worried as you say you are about it collapsing because of May, I’d probably ya know hold back on him. ISU is going to lose Schertz because of AD/University dysfunction. I’d prefer to deal with the necessary evil. But that’s just me.

Save it. You've repeatedly trashed the guy and called for his firing. When someone listed the success the athletic program has enjoyed under May you were the one who said May was a douchbag and could not be judged by anything but the Ford buyout and the buyout set us back forever and May should be fired for it. Turns out the buyout was a moot point. The guy who agreed to the extension came in and paid it, paid the new coach and funded the money to bring his players. If May pulls this off you haters need to stfu for a while.
Nah, I'm good dawg. I've presented evidence for everything I've said.

They are not comparable. You pick one item on the hundreds of subjects he may cover in a week. And I for one don't think they Ahearn idea is as stupit as you do. No I would not do it and glad they didn't but don't think it was completely crazy. You hate May so should we view everything you write with that in mind?
Probably, but I’ve been in here giving him credit for the last month.

Comparing Frank and Slaten is ridiculous. You live in Cinncy. Do you even see his broadcast? His radio show is different. They have alot of time to fill. I certainly would not categorise Frank as a complainer.
Frank and Slaten both slobbered over Ahearn. They are comparable.

Agreed, but this last part has me worried about getting some of those players here.
Honestly, just get the system here. I know we’re all excited at the possibility of a handful but, Id be over the moon with Avila and Swope.

I know people don't like hearing that the longer this goes on the less advantageous this is for SLU. As time goes by and the pickings get slimmer that $4 million buyout becomes less of an issue. I am not saying he isn't coming but time is our enemy.
Because it doesn’t really matter. If someone wants to pay $4 million, cool. We just made 2 ncaa tournaments without doing a damn thing. USC wants Muss, Arkansas isn’t going to go after Schertz. We’re still probably 4-5 days away from Arkansas zeroing in and whatever school they pillage entering the conversation. With every win the price tag on their players goes up and the more likely Schertz can’t keep this team together at ISU.

What credible sportscaster doesn't support the upper echelon? What TV personality second guesses Olie? Kevin Slaten is not credible.
Seems like the Bens over at the Post don't have a problem with holding feet to the flames. There's glazing over the issue and then there's propagandizing. Literally telling SLU fans they should forget buying out Ford and, get this, giving him more money to build a roster in NIL!

I don't get the dislike for Frank. He gives the Billikens more coverage than all of the other stations combined. He is a fan. If it's style thats one thing but coverage and boasting thats another.
I'd argue that he prefers to be a friend of influential sports personalities in STL than a fan of St Louis Sports. He wouldn't have spent 12+ months defending Ford if he was a fan.

I came in a little after his actual statement on the issue, but going by the conversation that is currently going on on the subject, it sounds like, at least as far as Frank is concerned, Schertz is still coming. There has been no wavering
I like what Frank is saying here, I still don't like Frank.
