As much as you old guys don't like me, I'm going to say that I have a great deal of respect for Taj after this quote in a recent post: "With no history, no tradition, no major conference, no legacy of pro players...one just does not make the quantum leap. That sums up SLU to a T as in Taj. Perfectly worded. We have nothing. We will never have anything at SLU because our Athletic Dept. won't get a Nike contract for merchandise for our student body and alums to wear, and other than the people posting on here, no one cares about SLU Athletics. I wish I had a SLU Nike sweatshirt or something to throw on as I head out to the games. I'll never see that in my lifetime.

What are you saying? Altman recruits quality players and is a perennial Valley power. You can't even begin to say that about SLU. Why would have I had a reason to bash Dana Altman? If he came from Creighton to SLU, that would just cancel out the Warming departure.
