My post definitely read as blatantly poking at the hornet’s nest but really it is frustrating for me not to see this issue from Roy’s side at all. Is it inconceivable to think he might start to lighten his stance a little? Majerus has come a long way from the 20 point fiasco at GW when he refused to change his style to suit his players. I admit that was a low point and I was thinking to myself “he’s lost it”, “he’s too old”, “he can’t coach in today’s college basketball”, “Keith Van Horn isn’t walking through the door” , etc. I refuse to indict a man for life because he called someone the C word 15 years ago. Everything he has done SINCE HE HAS BEEN OUR COACH has been nearly flawless or done with the intent of the long term vision that we are just starting to reap the benefits from. Currently we are winning AND have great young men representing our university on the basketball team. Isn’t that nirvana? From my perspective it is ok to flip flop if the situation changes. The aura around RM and the program has changed dramatically since early 2009, therefore I believe it is allowed to reassess an opinion. If this post is looked at as piling on than I apologize in advance.

(It's spelled despicable btw) Yikes. I agree with 05. How the heck is he such a terrible person. Every single thing he has done has done wonders for the university. He has recruited and molded great young men that represent the University extremely well. Just listen to Conklin talk about his coach...you know better than him? He clearly values education and actually can win. How many other coaches can you say that about? Not many. Would you ever see SLU in a X/UC-like brawl with RM as the coach? Not a chance. He is the best coach for SLU and we need to keep him around as long as we possibly can. I have never gotten in a spat with a poster here, so I will stop. But I do not understand the hate, and will never understand....especially from someone who is an alleged top tier SLU fan... -Nick I

It was a combination of us not caring and them thinking it was their Super Bowl. They could not have played much better and we could not have played much worse. That equals an UGLY 10 point win. They hit multiple 18 footers rolling off screens too...each one looked like a prayer, but a lot of them went in.

Jett's strength is really his best asset. He has been noticeably stronger than every guard he has faced and he knows that he can go all out on Defense because he has my main man McCall ready to come in as soon as he gets tired. That I beleive is the biggest differences this season. Guys know that if they "ration energy" than they will sit because there is someone on the bench who is just as good as them ready to come in and give 100%. I would love to see the competition in practice. You know that guys like Barnett are going all out to try to crack that 9 man rotation and guys like JJ and MM are giving their all to hold them off. This is what it takes to be good. Btw does anyone else think Majerus got Crews on the staff with such short notice, because he said something like "Jim, trust me, we are making a run this year, come enjoy the ride wth me" -Nick
