  1. I think if we take him to Pappy's smokehouse he signs on the spot.
  2. Test scores have been released. We should have an answer soon.
  3. There you go again Roy, blaming the coach for our fab 4's problems. You just can't resist it can you? I'm sure with a coach like Brad, they would have become all league players. Oh, I forgot, AK and DM rarely ever got off the bench when Brad was here. Why didn't Brad coach them up while he was here?
  4. Roy, do you honestly think this team had a chance to compete at the upper level, if he kept the 4 players? I think it would be a disaster, and that you would be calling for RM's ouster. Face it Roy, the players he let go are no better than D2 players. I don't even think there is going to be a big demand for them there either.
  5. Roy, we knew what we were getting when RM came here. So, why do you continue to harp about it? Either you support him or not. I'm tired of your whining that it shouldn't have to be an either or thing. Make up your mind Roy, either you or going to support him or not. If you are then start doing so, if not, then quit making excuses and campaign for his removal. He is not about to change.
  6. You are living in a dream world Roy. Division 1 college coaches are paid to win. It was bad enough that your boy Brad couldn't identitfy and recruit talent, but you want RM to be saddled with these players for the next 2 to 3 years and at the same time be criticized by people like you for not coaching them up. In regards to recruiting, I can gaurantee you that RM conveys to the player and the family, that he has high expectations for the student athlete on and off the court. You would to be extremely naive to think that you can go to any D! school and not produce on the court and still be welcomed on the team. I give RM high praise for being forthright with his current players about their current situation. Let me tell you what happens at most places Roy. If a person is not contributing on the court, the coach makes his life so miserable that he quits or transfers. My advice for you Roy, is to swith your allegiance to a place like Wash U. You're philosophies are much more suited to the D#3 level.
  7. It's amusing to me Roy, how you continually boast that everyone knows who you are . The fact is Roy, you love the public attention that it brings to you. You are a celebrity in your own mind. Do you really think people care who you are? This is a basketball information board for most of us, not our life obsession. Privacy, in this world is a valuable commodity, if you choose to be a public figure, then great for you, but you can shove the innuendo's that some how you are a better man. You are in fact so righteous that you are blinded by reality. You are obsessed by RM's unfair treatment of his players ( who you have no personal knowledge of ) yet have never been willing to give our current coach the benefit of the doubt about anything. You Roy, are what we call a hypocrite.
  8. Question for you Roy, what is your point? Are you trying to warn potential recruits not to come to SLU? Yes Roy, they do visit this site, to get additional perspectives on the program. When they do visit here, they find one of our so called "esteemed posters" who proclaims himself Billiken Roy, bashing our head coach continually. I think you are an intelligent man, and unfortunately, this just leads me to believe that your continual criticism of RM is done only with the intent to do anything you can to see that he fails at SLU. Well, Roy, if and when that happens the future of SLU basketball is going to fail as well. Please change your moniker, perhaps Bashing Roy would be a better fit.
  9. What he taught him is discipline. For the first 3 years of Danny's career, he was a walking turnover. RM took the ball out of his hand, taught him to play some defense, and helped him with his shot selection decisions, other than that, he did nothing.
  10. I'm glad that you grudgenling admitted that BH improve under RM, also what about Danny? His last 6 weeks (bad knee and all ), were the best of his career. That said, I'm tired of projects at SLU. You can't win the Kentucky Derby, with a stable of mules, regardless of the coach. Your dislike of RM, and loyalty to BS, is nothing short of amazing.
  11. Roy, let's do it your way, keep the guys who need to be coached up, have a 500 record and have a half empty building. Sounds like fun... Just think of all those warm fuzzy memories of watching a guy like AK developing into some one who can score 5 or 6 points a game by the time he is a senior.
  12. As many here are aware, Brigette Schutzman, a cross country runner for SLU, was in a serious car accident on December 31. Here is an update on her progress. http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/brigetteschutzman
  13. If you call that football, then I'm glad we don't have it here. Wow, a whole 6,500 for a game. We average more than that for basketball. Enjoy that big time program you have down there. http://www.thesouthern.com/articles/2007/1...op/22437597.txt
  14. agree completely, we don't need this.
  15. Why are you trying to trash people before the facts come out? Do you work for ACT? if not how would you have knowledge about Cotto's score which he hasn't received yet? Your comments are childish and shows your ignorance. Hey, if you don't like RM, then fine, but me a man and quit attacking the kids with statements which are fabricated by yourself.
  16. Nate, when you cover a game for MLB, what exactly are your duties?
  17. I just felt something too...
  18. Roy, If our coach is such an A hole, then why are the recruits flocking to SLU??? Are you saying our recruits and their families are fools? They obviously don't have the same feeling about RM based on their PERSONAL MEETINGS with him. Roy, why can't you just accept the fact that people are different? Charlie Spoonhour for all of his wit and charm was a mediocre recruiter. Players want to go to a program where they sense the opportunity to win and be successfu. RM has given them the belief that will happen at SLU.
  19. Claiborne has been a Billiken basher ever since he was cannd as a commentator on the radio broadcasts. As for his comments about the local kids: "How anyone at this point would think this would be a good situation for their kid should take a long, hard look at what has happened at Saint Louis University lately. No longer is this the place for the hometown kid, and you can solely thank the head coach for that. His most recent statement about four kids he wanted to run off was unacceptable." Huh????? Has he looked at our incoming roster??? Femi John, from Florissant, Rubin Cotto from Alton, Kyle Cassity and BT from Southern Illinois, maybe Josh Harrellson from St. Charles. These are the same bitter comments he has been directing towards the program for the last several years, just a different target now.
  20. I will be disappointed and surprised if BE logs most of the minutes at the 4 position. I think Conklin ends up with most of the minutes, also if Harrellson commits, the BT might see some time at the 4 also.
  21. You have seen him make a bad basketball decision more than once? Amazing, is there any player you have seen that has not made occasional bad decisions? Josh averaged 19 points, 11 rebounds, 4 blocks and shot nearly 60% from the field in his senior year. In addition his team made it to the final four of the state championship. I would say that was a great senior season.
  22. I agree completely with you Brian. Cassity is a team oriented player, playing in a game last night, where no one wantd to pass the ball. That said Cotto showed amazing range and confidence with his shot, I also liked the way BT moved and carried himself on the floor. Again, there was no attempt to get the ball inside to him.
  23. Josh Harrrellson was also at the game.
  24. Dustin will not gain another year of eligibility. You have a 5 year window in which you can play 4 years. If he plays at another D1 school, he will have to sit out another year (which would be his 3rd year ) and would only have 2 more years of eligibility, because he would have a total of 5 years at a D1 school. The only way he can have 3 more years of eligibility is if he goes to a D2 or lower school, which I think he will.
  25. I would hope Brad is smart enough not to make the same mistakes twice.
