Are you trying to say that a private institution doesn't have core values? The university, if they choose has every right to set up standards for conduct if they choose. It seems like the only ones you don't have tolerance for, are the ones who actually try to adhere to the teachings of the church. Roy, gave his opinion, and was ridiculed. It just surprises me how little regard many Catholics have for their own teachings.

Isn't SLU a Catholic institution? What are their teachings on the subject? I don't think Roy is saying anything different than what the church teaches. Are you saying their teachings are false?

You are incredibly naive if you don't think underage drinking is a problem. Besides, whether you like it or not 21 is the law. By your standards if you don't agree with any law then it is ok to ignore it and do what you want. It's a sad shame that it's impossible for many to enjoy their self with out being in a stupor.

Obviously they do, having a drink is one thing, being drunk though is another. Being drunk also seems to be aceptable.

Out of curiosity, why is underaged drinking so accepted? Society laughs about people being drunk and basically tell our young people to have at it, and then they are upset when something bad happens. You don't have to look any further than many of the posters on this forum who laugh about being wasted. I can gaurantee you that alcohol played the major role in what happened this past wekend.

Where did you get the idea that Jett is not an outstanding prospect? He has an espn rating of 90, as a comparison Mike McCall, who everone is excited about ( including me ), has an espn rating of 82. Roy, get of your pedestal. The fact is Roy, we have been a mediocre program for a long time (as in average ). Yes, we may have a winning recored in 18 of the past 25 years, but we traditionally have piled up a lot of early nonconfernce wins against cupcakes and then had mediocre record in confernce play. Now that said, no one here has called any of the past players losers. You on the other hand, the self proclaimed greatest billiken fan, go out of your way to insult and denigrate our head coach at every opportunity. Tell me exactly how do your repeated negative comments help our program?

Your problem is that you find it necessary to find blame. There is no digsrace here, the fact is, it's called competition. When you have 13 players on a roster, they are not all going to be equal. Everyone knows this, including the players. If you happen to be in this bottom group, it's not unexpected that you are going to be disappointed, because you are used to playing a lot. JJ didn't need RM or anyone else telling him that he likely wouldn't be playing much next year, as he could figure that out for himself. Good Luck to JJ next year. He will probably be in a much better situation next season. But the bad new is, he will probably take playing time away from some else on his new team. I guess somebody else will be upset as well.

Making some broad assumptions Roy... I know the glory days of BS are gone, but I was refering to actually having a realistic chance of making the NCAA tournament on a regular basis. I know the thought is distressing to you.

Enough of the whining? Do you want a winning competitive program or not? If you do, then accept the fact, that you have to recruit hard and continually try to improve your roster. If you can't stomach the idea that there will be turn over with your bottom level players, then you need to find another team to support, at least until RM leaves. It seems that many are feeling guilty that our Billikens might actually become a winning competitive program.

Romar was vague, he just said that they would play a game in the "area"...He might have been talking about Illinois, Mizzou, or another school.

One of the most absurd comments I have ever read. Loe played 9 minutes!!!!! You have no ideal how good or bad he will be based on that brief appearance. I guess that 19 of 28 3 pt. shooting performance was just a mirage.
