What do you think of fishers play this year

If you don't practice hard you wont play its that simply we can talk about it all we want but if jj does't practice hard he wont play.

Thanks sounds like coach will play with 4 before those guys get in . or maybe borrow a dayton fan.

There are no games here he either practices hard or he does't play that's what coach is saying. He is not gonna get in JJ's head he has rules that he wants followed and he either does it our he won't play.I think that is the bottom line. But Im sure coach would love your suggestions.

If you pay JJ's tuition then he might owe you something but Im guessing you don't so he doesn't owe you jack ######.Sorry for the language but give me a break you have the nerve to say JJ owes you anything and your not gonna give him much longer I think your going over board and just hopefully letting off steam. We dont own these kids we get to wright about them but when people start saying these kids owe them then maybe some of us need to take a break and really think things through. These kids are on a huge stage for everyone to judge them thats all we get to do but they don't owe us a thing like one of the above posts said they are playing for themselves, their families, and the university. Not us not poster on some board that people come to argue points about a kids performance they don't care about what we say. When they do read this they probably think what a bunch of dumb asses. I guess my main point is don't make stupid comments that some player owes you something because your a fan that kid didn't ask you to be a fan thats what you chose.And if you do think JJ owes you something maybe you should seek some clinical help,most of the times the top floor of the hospital is a good place to look you could probably watch the games from there and show all your friends all the people who owe you something because your a psycho sports fan that doesn't know what your boundries really are when it comes to being a fan. Why don't we all just relaxe and wait for next season thats all you talk about any way. The point guard we dont have the unathletic players we don't have etc.etc. We have a core group of 7 players that will play hard all the time a great coaching staff and a great defense. So im gonna cheer for those players and I hope the rest of you do the same and quit speculating on what a player could be because if they are sitting on the bench it doesn't even really matter does it.

Well see how ross does but until these younger players follow the example of the older hard working players they will be pulling out splinters. Its sad that they don't see the big picture that they aren't just hurting themselves but the whole team. I think after a while the older guys are really gonna start riding these kids get in their faces.Actually that really doesn't always work most of the time you get that deer in the head lights look. It all boils down to attitude and how bad they want to play I personally would rather work hard everyday then have my coach tell the wholoe city the reason your not playing is because you are lazy and you don't work hard. That would really hurt my ego if I was one of those players. We are gonna need help down the stretch we have a lot of games left to play. I really hope these guys can pull things together and help out the players that have put in the time and hard work.

I love the fact that Coach won't put up with not practicing hard.Isn't a scholarship renewed every year some of these kids better figure it out.He made a statement last game by putting Fisher back in when he was hurt that if you don't do what I ask in practice you won't play. And he reinforced that in the article. 7 man rotation I expect fisher to play all 40 min tonight if his ankle is okay. Anthony will sub for reggie and Isiac for tom and chris. Hey billikenroy thanks for spitting out the facts better than I did. Slufanskip mayabe when Josh was recruited in Highschool the coaches were recruiting him as a point and not a two guard.Sometimes coaches see a player in highschool and envision him player another position. I have played a little ball in my time and not knowing your background won't speculate.But mine is about 14 years I really played every year starting in grade school. For you to say josh doesnt get his players open looks is ridiculous He probably should have had at least 30 to 40 more assists last year if people would have finished under the basket.Love kenny brown but at times during the game he couldn't catch the ball if his life depended on it.Watch during the game if someone is hot who Fisher gets the ball to. He doesnt stand out and dribble and go one on one. He finds that guy I cant remember how many times josh found diener opon on a consistant basis last year.Its not like Chris Braun was a go to guy in the post I mean how many passes did he foul up last year. He did have a great hook shot though. Ha Ha .We have yet to develope our post game this year but when we do and the bigs are playing with confidence they will get the ball. Right now with sloan slumping (great player will see him back to his old self soon they need you chris or we are in trouble)fredricks is playing well and JJ is coming around. But fisher finds the open guy. But yeah your right if he gets a step on his guy at the hoop he should go and go strong like he has been doing all year. He can body up with any guard in college basketball. Fisher is not a 2 guard playing out of position he is a point guard that is where he has played since he got here. In highschool he played every position except for the five.His size puts him at the 2 or 3 maybe needs to have a couple inches more to be a true three. So you can say what you want slufanskip but you fisher is a point guard now at thats how he will go down in the books at slu forbidding any injuries to any players and things go the way the should. Fisher could have one of the best seasons a point guard at slu has ever had and for not being a point guard according to you just shows what a great mentally touch fundamentally sound hard working kid can do. As a point guard would you say that dribble penetration is a big key in a motion offense? I have noticed that when you get the ball over half court a key to the motion offense is movement. If you start to dribble penetrate right off the bat it messes up the offense. Fisher penetrates and takes the ball to the hole hard, if he sees someone open when he does they are gonna get the ball. If not he is gonna either go to the line or have a great look at the hoop. He has done this all year and will continue to.For you to say he is not a true point still cant figure that out. 6'2" or 6'3" great ball handler hardly ever turns the ball over and I don't rembember him getting his pocket picked, moves the ball, always finds the open guy, and free throws this year, so great concentration, must be in game shape already. And his 3s will start to fall I remember last year at the end of the season say last 10 games he shot the lights out of the ball. Dont see this kid do to many wrong things. So Like other posters I would take fisher as my point any time. Someone also said he cant compete against good teams,that is when fisher plays his best. To quality games in two years against arizona, played great against missouri,shut down every player any team has thrown at him. Duane wade and alot of other good players. So to say he doesn't compete with big name teams is a joke. I think fisher is the best player on this team and would not even wanna watch what would happen to the billikens this year if they lost him. He will keep this team in games down the stretch with his solid all around play. Still averaging close to 15 a game and that is gonna go up. Once evereyone on this team figures out the offense and plays solid defense and the team plays a 40 min game they are gonna be good and they are gonna beat some really good teams. So go Billikens !!!!!!

Could you please tell me how you can compare Fisher to Anthony and what are their similarties. Are you the same guy that compared Anthony to Marque.Anthony is a good player but I personally don't think he will even come close to matching the all around game that Fisher has and for you to say Fisher is a role player is ridiculious he has started the last to years, the first year he played after sitting he was a role player. Since then he has been a starter and a very good one at that.

Would you please list the poor decisions that Fisher makes and he has made throughout his career. For a guy who will probably end up 1 or 2 in all time assists at Saint Louis. I have listened to every game on the radio this year and have seen a couple of games on Tv and from what the announcers are saying on the radio and tv Fisher is not the problem. If you wanna blame him because he took some long threes go ahead but I don't really agree with you and your negative comments about the decisions that fisher makes. I actully think fisher should be more selfish than he is. Fisher is a good shooter and the only guy on the team right now that can even hit a free throw. 14 offensive rebounds for sms where are the bigs. I think fisher has been the most solid all around player this year and may not be hitting all his shots but who else is? Not in love with Fisher or anything but out of all the guys on the team you wanna complain about.#1 in conference in free throws, #1 in assists on team, #1 in steals on team, second in scoring, so he took a couple of bad shot according to you, big deal I see other players on the team go one on one out of the offense all the time. He is a senior and has been at slu for 5 years now and has never been in any trouble has always worked hard and been a team player.He has put in his dues and has earned those shots. He always plays good d and trys to get everyone involved in the game. So fisher keep shooting and driving to the hole stopping the clock and getting to the line.Your a solid player and will only get better and stronger as the year progresses. Don't listen to the people on the board that cant even back up their comments with some information.

Haven't heard any injury report from a relialble source so gonna assume even though I know what that does, that Anthony isn't hurt.

Marque and Anthony aren't even in the same league so please don't compare the two.

Ive seen fisher drive to the right side of the court plenty of times. He is averaging 6 more points a game than last year 14 against Gt and I believe the same againt arizona some of the best guards in the country. Im not worried about them keying on Fishers left hand he is left handed. All the teams know this coming in.He said fisher has one move and thats it. That is an incorrect statement. I dont know what he meant by his statement he didn't back it up with anything except Fisher only has one move. If your gonna say that back it up with something.

For you to say Fisher only has one move is an insult to his great all around game. 31-33 93.9% That is outstanding Great Job Fisher keep it up, shows great concentration. Jason Maxielle from cincy has shot only 3 more free throws than Fisher I think that says a little for how much fisher has gone to the line this year. As soon as Fishers outside shot starts falling look out. Im still very optimistic about this team when Brad gets everyone on the same page and we win a few road games we are gonna be tough to beat. We gotta get that we aren't gonna lose mentality and 100% from everyone on the floor every minute. We are not quite there yet. Brad is a great coach and these kids need to absorb the things he is telling them, when they do and follow up with it Brads system is a great system and will work we just need to execute. Love watching this team play and grow as a team.A team that stresses D like we do just gives you a chance everytime we step on the floor to win. Reggie shot 16 times and didn't go the the line once. Didn't see the game, was he not taking it to the hole at all. Any Dribble penetration. Anthony 4 shots all threes whats with that.Fisher 5-9 needs more shots and if he doesn't get them in the offense he is gonna have to start to play a little selfish. I mean three games into his career and Bryant is throwing up 16 shots and making 5 thats not very good. So is he throwing up bad shots, is their someone else open for an extra pass. It just doesn't sound to me like we are executing very well on the offensive side of the ball. Any thoughts on that. Having Fisher on the bench early really killed us but got Clarke some good minutes, how was his D looks like he shot the ball well. Just going by what I hear on radio, up dates, and stats. Would like to get some feed back.
