Great point on the rebounding. Crawford does have hops. He slammed the ball in a recent game and he can get to the basket and elevate (and finish). I don't get why he doesn't rebound with the same tenacity of the rest of his game. I think Crawford is a future leader of this team. Getting more minutes is allowing him to develop. It's really a shame he was sick for the first half of the season.

I like that Jolly also brings some intensity. I'm a big Gilllllmannnnn fan, but he always seems much less intense.

Mike Wolff is a great guy and is not only well liked, but well respected. He also is a lot of fun to work with and relates well to everyone. Very down to earth too.

This season is about what I expected - serious growing pains, but flashes of the talent most of us knew was there. A .500 record or better would be a very good accomplishment for a team with 8 freshman. I was really surprised by all the people who thought we were definitely in that 144 ranking; we lost five starters! However, the talent and athleticism are definitely there and the future is bright. Just think if against VCU, GW, and UMass an additional 3 had gone in in each game... Again, despite the frustration (and there will be more) the future is bright!

It looked like he was dribbling in that posture from way back at the top of the key. He didn't lower his shoulder just before contact. Not sure if that makes a difference.

I think Gillllmannnnn does have Rob Loe potential because he seems to see the floor well from the high post. His passes are not yet where they need to be for D1 ball, but he is only a freshman and he makes generally good, if sometimes poorly executed, decisions. I was a huge Loe fan, but I think Gilllllmannnnn could be just as good, maybe better. He needs to see Backhand though about a Conklin summer, no doubt. He also needs a little more arch in his shot.

I keep hearing how we are horrible at rebounding. True, we are getting out rebounded overall, but if you look at the statistics, it is only by fewer than 4 rebounds per game. It is not exactly a rebounding disaster. Moreover, part of that is likely due to the way we work to set up our defense so quickly. If you take that into consideration, we are probably rebounding at a level close to our competition.

I noticed that the on-line stats during the game were reversed. SLU's stats were UMass' and UMass' stats were SLU's. It thought I was in Bizzarro Land.

Never been to the post game presser. Lorenzini's is on the bottom floor in the corner across from the Bills' bench. It is open to Billiken Club members, but only at a pretty high level BEFORE the game while after the game it is open to Billiken Club members at a lower level. Food is very good, but I do not think they serve food after the games. I could be wrong on that part though as I have never been there after the games.

Gillllmannnn and Jolly are young, but they really need to develop for this team to be good next year...and beyond. Isn't Neufeld a big? and isn't he suppose to be good?
