  1. I would say name your college affiliate but then we wouldn't, we would instead get a post filled with nonsense and grammar errors left and right. Maybe one day you'll learn to spell and fill out a job application and stop posting and making yourself look like the child you are.
  2. I thought the announcers were fine. Very complimentary of Ian and Kevin all night. Mentioned Kevin's injury was obviously holding him back. The color guy said Tommie had loads of talent countless times. I didn't find them to be overly entralled with UNC, they made good points, much better than Dickie V showing up and pumping up the ACC like his own child. They did say the crowd was def quiet for most of the second half and were just waiting for something to cheer about going back to what Skip was talking about. This MoState fan is amusing and makes for a good read on how meth can destroy a life.
  3. Dallas. I also was in CS for the horrendous game. Don't know if i'll make it down to Houston for the game.
  4. How many times did you run spell check on your post. Let us know when you get that elusive GED and you can begin your career calling Metz boss for the rest of your life.
  5. It was a rip on the idiot Phan, he's the moron who can't type and makes idiotic and pointless points constantly. I am sorry for the confusion. BTW I too am a SLU grad (2003).
  6. If you wanted to be a professional organization, I don't think spelling out the university's name is out of line. If the PD opts not to follow correct usage of the name, then it's pure and simple laziness. Must be nice working for the one paper in town where laziness and decreasing circulation are the norms. If they want to run their business on laziness then that is their decision.
  7. You can attribute this continual mistake by the PD to pure and simple laziness. If they cared about being professional they would correct themselves. The coverage the PD gives to the university athletics has been below average for years. As we discuss frequently blame should also go to SLUs PR department.
  8. Does the line include 3points given to the Bills for being at home. I know in pro football the home team gets a 3 point edge.
  9. Bills could get some RPI love this weekend as two opponents play BCS opponents on the road. Southern Illinois travels to Indiana and Houston goes to Arizona. if Houston gets some of their players back that might be closer than most think. Got to like the Saluki's chances in Bloomington.
  10. Sampson must love giving second chances...but to keep with the theme on this board, looks like Brad and company lost out on another big guy! http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/high....out/index.html
  11. Yet somehow TAMU got to the second round and nearly beat LSU. Gibson and Tucker sure are doing swell in the NBA getting the valuable garbage minutes for Toronto and Cleveland. How do you expect the Big 12 to get more than 4 teams in the dance? Kansas, TAMU, OSU, and Texas are all superior to Mizzou and will all beat Mizzou this year. You pumping up Mizzou into this team to watch our for is amusing, can't wait until they are struggling to get an NIT invite in March. Acie Law will torch whatever spare Mizzou puts on him and Joseph Jones/Kavalkis will go right thru Kalen Grimes like opposing defenses go thru the Ram O-line.
  12. Explain to me how TAMU is overrated VTIME, thats ridiculous, of all people who get into the recruiting hype, TAMU has recruited extremely well under Gilespie. Acie Law is an all Big 12 performer and could be the POY. Mizzou is average at best, middle of the pack Big 12. They would be a bottom feeder in most years if the Big 12 wasn't so watered down this year. TAMU would destroy Mizzou in any head to head matchup.
  13. Expect them to play an up-tempo game, lots of athletes, led by McKiver a juco transfer averaging 25+ ppg. I believe 3 of their starters are JUCOs. Other starting back court mate chips in 23-24/ppg as well. Their biggest player who contributes is a 6-8 freshman. I would assume a starting lineup of DP, KL, TL, LM, and IV. Houston beat Rhode Island at URI 101-99. They have exlosive athletes and like to get out and run. Bills need to get IV going early and pound the ball inside and dominate the rebounding margin and points in the paint. Isn't JJ about ready to come back? If not we might see BH log serious minutes if LM or IV gets in foul trouble with the mismatches on the defensive side.
  14. The Jones big man from TAMU last night is highly touted big 12 performer, I wouldn't say he's a slouch. Kavalaskas is a productive big man as well. I think RealisticBilliken is underrating the Aggie squad. Just wait til big 12 season starts to see how these "nobody's" perform.
  15. KL was in foul trouble bc he was helping Polk once Law got past him countless times. I never said anything about Polk or Lisch or any one player being responsible for the debacle. It was a collective piss poor shooting display. Sooner the better the guys understand our offense has to work from the inside out as our best offensive weapon is a 6'11 big who can pass out of a double team or beat his man one-on-one with a array of post moves.
  16. Brad was not the one who could not hit an open shot. While TAMU put together a sterling defensive effort, NOBODY could hit a shot. The Bills had open shots they just were not falling. When the jump shots are not falling thats when they need to force the issue and attack the rim and force the issue with Ian or Husak. Our defense wasn't as bad as people are making it out to be, only gave up 66 points, TAMU missed a ton of shots as well. Law was the one who carried them offensively in the first half (18-20 pts). Polk had no business guarding Law, as many have stated on this board in the past, Polk needs to be a catalyst off the bench he has too many short-comings to be a starter, I believe DB should have been in the starting lineup last night. Kavalaskas is a good player and was able to frustrate Ian with his quickness and strength, Ian didn't have a FG until about the 12 min mark in the SECOND half. Please keep in mind before you crucify Brad that TAMU is probably the second best team in the Big 12 and one of the best defensive teams in the country. If anything this should show our guys what it will take to get to the next level and compete on a national stage.
  17. I had the misfortune of attending that game. I'd like to attribute their "effort" to having to play 3 road games in 3 nights but that was an embarassing "effort". I had to question why Polk was on Law. Law is/was their only ball handler last night and had no trouble driving or getting his shot. If Lisch is our best perimeter defender why was he not on Law? TAMU defense was impressive, extremely physical and swarming. Tommie just didn't look excited or up for this game. My friend said it looked like our offense didn't have any sets or was running any plays, as their spacing on offense was just terrible which made the Aggie defense look all that much better. The better team won last night, just be glad we got out of the gym without any serious injuries.
  18. Don't recall much analysis about this recruit? Is he a Danny Brown type player?
  19. Bobby Knight had a run in with one of his players last night after sophmore guard Michael Prince committed two fouls in a row. Knight called timeout and when Prince held his head down Knight grabbed his chin and instructed him to look at him when he is talking to him. Prince's parents were in the crowd and defended Knight for his actions. One would assume Tx Tech would not punish coach Knight for this because much of the admin in Lubbock fears Knight plus that nice extension he signed earlier this year can't hurt. 20. Thanks nashville for clarifying....maybe an apology will be next for their mishap
  21. Very disturbing that Charlotte is essentially the only other team predicted to go dancing? I believe most pundits have them in the 3-6 range for finish in the conference. No real reason to put much stock in this prediction, most of these teams are just on their for past accomplishments. Excellent opportunity for our Billikens early this year to get some attention after Sunday night. Aggies should challenge in the weak Big 12 this year. Got to believe Lisch will match up vs Law or do you stick Liddell on him?
  22. ESPN.com has their first bracketology out (no mention of SLU). However 8 opponents appear on the list, which bodes well for our RPI and possible national exposure depending on the outcome naturally. I am excited to see them play this Sunday against the nationally ranked Aggies, hopefully I won't have to saw off the horns off the wicked in the student section. UNC - 1 seed TAMU - 4 seed Xavier - 7 seed Mo State - 8 seed So IL - 9 seed Houston - 11 seed Charlotte - 11 seed Loyola (IL) - 14 seed
