Damn it! He's a fun player to watch. If it doesn't happen for us, Gibby would be a hell of a good Plan B. Hopefully Conwell factors in that he thrived under Schertz.

I would expect we would know in a few days, maybe by the end of this week. Typically when a player follows a coach, it seems to happen very quickly. If any of these players are still on the market next week, we can take that as a sign that they are shopping around and not likely to follow Schertz.

Avilla and Conwell are 1A and 1B on the priority list.

Larry was the one the ISU reporter said was the least likely to transfer to SLU. We shall see. He's a very solid player.

Hughes is really not athletic for a guard. He rarely beats anyone off the dribble is not good defensively. He can shoot a bit and if he wants to stick around and be the 10th man, fine. If he wants a bigger role, he should transfer.

The chance of any of those starters returning to ISU seems like slim and none.

I agree- even though the local talent has dried up a bit, he is well liked and has connections, not just locally, but also with juco’s. Tate did recruit a lot of talent here. We’ll see if Schertz agrees. It’s his decision. There are so many staff positions now, I would think there could be a role for Tate for at least one more year.

No surprises so far- I think Gibby, Thames and Larry are the only possibilities- maybe Curcic - but he’s another one who could follow Harriman.

SBV surprised me late in the season - once he started getting healthy, he showed some toughness and sneaky athleticism. That being said, I don't think he fits into the Schertz system. And Magassa is a mystery man since we didn't see him play, but he was recruited by the previous regime. I wouldn't be shocked if SVB and/or Magassa wind up with with Harriman at Charleston.
