  1. This will be the longest 58 seconds of our lives.
  2. Don’t hire the UNCW coach they run the weave. Seen enough that.
  3. Jeesh, I really like Curcic. It seemed like when he was n the court we built leads. Then Ford would hide hm on the bench in the 2nd half.
  4. A position dedicated solely to evaluate active D1 talent with portal eligibility strikes me as a valid and valuable job given today’s landscape of free agency. The pros employ scouting departments to evaluate college and free agent talent, and I’ll wager top schools have folks whose sole job is scouting the ranks of likely portal entrees. Is there anybody on our current staff whose primary job is scouting potential portal targets?
  5. And Travis has no answer. He’s gotta go. He’s killing us.
  6. Richmond has plays. We have no D.
  7. Yeah that’s exciting.Seriously good for them. I cheer any Billiken success but really it’s Men hoops that drives the bus here.
  8. Eziwiro is not bad. I like the way he follows up misses.
  9. For a moment there I thought you were shilling for a retirement home.
  10. Agree this is not the golden era for STL talent. Go back to the Beals and Lee years. Then the Tatum and Love period. The Goodwin-Gordon time. Don’t seem to have the big names of past years. I do feel that a guy like Carawell, a STL native, might have some success locally. Still the key is the size of the NIL checkbook. The problem with Ford is those who manage the fund don’t have faith that he’ll use it wisely and/or lacks the skill to coach the talent or develop it to the level needed to become a top program.
  11. I’ll bet Dusty May at FAU was looked at as an uninspired hire. That’s finding a gem in the rough. Or in other words, a crapshoot. If, big if, we actually fire Ford, we have to get this right. There’s no good reason this program should be languishing at the bottom of the A10.
  12. Never Crean. I have a friend who’s an IU fan. He was hated there and failed at UGA. What would make anyone think he can save SLU? Total retread. Weber’s too old. Ahern total unknown. What we need is NIL $$’s and a guy who has done something. I’d look at guys like the UVM coach.
  13. I don’t see Moser at SLU. Someone said he might be waiting on the Creighton job, his Alma mater. I’d prefer Mack but would he prefer SLU.
  14. I believe the towel motivational tool was a Booby Knight special. Although, it was rumored that Rick pulled out his wanker to demonstrate how much room he wanted between a screener and the ball handler.
  15. With the talent some of his rosters have had it’s been mostly lowlights. Never beating a top 25 team, never winning an A10 reg season championship, some memorable collapses (blowing the lead against Auburn stands out), one and outs in the dance and 2 NITs, and the dagger to the heart loss at home to SIUE with what was supposed to be one of SLU’s best ever teams. Hate to be negative, but being honest, there’s no denying his tenure here has been one big disappointment. One A10 tourney championship doesn’t outweigh all the failed expectations.
  16. I’m old. But unless my memory has gone full Biden, this is the second game when Curcic got good minutes we built good leads. Now he sits for the last 5 minutes and gets minimal minutes after he stretched our first half lead. WTF Travis? Play the guy!
  17. Had a feeling this wouldn’t be easy.
  18. I doubt Mr Bishop will be at GW next year unless they got a pile of NIL $’s.
  19. Bill, lighten up. We can pray for miracles.
  20. Wow a steal and some points. Now that’s a rare sighting this year.
  21. On their misses Gibby should sprint down the court. Find him with a pass. It’s the only way he gets open looks.
  22. And here we go with the dumbass TO’s!
