They are a legend in their fans minds...now if they do happen to win anything worthwhile then and only then will they have any right to pump their chest and look down on SLU. Until then, they will just remain a bunch of Kansas wannabes.

Sounds like a wiener to me!
-
Pretty freakin testy aren't we...my suggestion...take a cold shower.

There have been some follks (seems like the same ones too) that have been against the Arena project from day one. That's OK as it is a free country, but this project looks as good as a sure thing to me. Hopefully, most everyone will jump on the band wagon, and I will most definitely be making a visit to St. Louis to see some games at the new Biondi Palace...looks like 2005 season.
-
Agreed...let's see how these two kids careers go over the full 4 years before we make any rash statements about either one of them.
-
I saw where the hotshot Soph Guard for Grambling (Rush) only had 4 pts tonight on 2/11 shooting...he came into tonights game averaging just under 20 a game. I do look for Blake to have an equally tough game against our experienced backcourt.
-
So does that mean that there were 5K or less that actually had their backsides grace the Savvis seats. The sooner the new on campus arena...the better.

Why we love SLU (more appropriate, maybe?)

Yea, and I hear that Frazier is some bum down in Southern MO. I mean SPUMAC surely is very proud of this former student athlete...what a freakin joke!!! -
Bills Up By 40 With Just Over 3 Mins To Play...
Schasz replied to Schasz's topic in Billikens.com Main Board
I give...is Reggie's real first name Wendall??? -
I don't really follow SMS very close so I have no idea how much PT that Master Ahearn has been getting. I'm not looking for him to light up this Billiken team even though the game is in Springfield...home of what used to be (in my days) the most popular Missouri tourist attraction...Bass Pro Shop. Back to Blake, depending on his minutes, I'd say he scores 5 or less on Saturday.

Box and Won, Did you attend the game tonight? If so, any guess on how many people actually showed up. Since this is our final cupcake game, I was worried about a smallish crowd.
-
Thanks Box and Won, I was keeping my fingers crossed on your response to David's question. This kid has way too much upside for me to hear about any problems.
-
Personally, I really like it MooFan!
-
Was IO the leading Bills scorer with the 21...how many did Reggie have?
-
So who got the 3 dunks for us? You are correct, as we are getting much bigger now than many of Spoon's teams and should be able to see more dunks. I still really liked the one that Chris threw down on Arizona. That was a highlight film slam.
-
jjray, Thanks, I got my score from CBS Sportsline and it claimed there were still 3 minutes left, so much for thinking that is a reliable source. If AD was going to be out or limited, tonight was a game that we could afford to be without him. We do have some competitive opponents coming up so one can only hope that he will be at or close to full strength soon.
-
The score was something like 73-33 so it looks like they are playing a heckuva defensive game tonight. I'll be interested in reading the accounts from those fans who attended tonight. Any guesses on the real attendance tonight...hope we had an OK crowd.

Sounds like Steve doesn't buy into your pompous arse takes that SLU VS SPUMAC is not a worthwhile game for both sides. IMHO, Steve is right on and the game should be an annual event. We'll just have to see if the series is resumed next year.

The roller coaster aspect of being a fan is exactly what I would hope Coach Soderberg puts an end to, once we get to the Big Dance again, I would like to see us string some appearances together.

OK here is my cliff notes version just for Billiken Rich on tonights Billiken opponent. They are currently 2-5 with wins over those powerhouse programs Wiley and Texas College. Their losses were to Georgetown, Arkansas, Auburn, Marquette, and Stepen Austin. The two best players on Grambling are Brion Rush a 6'2" Soph Guard who is averaging 19.4 ppg and young Mr. Rush is shooting 40% from the 3 point arc. The second leading scorer is Paul Hayne who is a 6'8" Sr. Forward. he is averaging 16.6 ppg and is the leading rebounder with 8.3 boards a game. I have this one chalked up in the win column, and I am looking for some good/glowing reports later tonight from the locals attending this ball game. Let's Go Bills!!!

David, I'd say from the tone of this article that the arena is a pretty sure thing. Since we know where it will be located then once the donation goal has been reached then the next step would be ground breaking. Anybody want to guess when that will happen?
-
Do you actually attend classes in Columbia, or (like RC) do you just take correspondence courses? Because if the latter is the case then that explains why you have all this time to correspond with the petty Billiken fans.

I'm an old timer but your last sentence summed up my feelings. We thought things changed with the 3 very hotly contested games played just a few short years ago. However, we are now going a couple more seasons without a game and I think the ones hurt the most are the fans of both programs. Had all 3 of the games been blowouts then even the most ardent Billiken fan could understand why they are not being played. It's a helluva lot more fun discussing what actualy happened on the basketball court than to simply speculate. Perhaps, the powers at both schools will get together and get this series resumed next year???

Super nice video and Julius Hunter does a wonderful job narrating. Heck, I'm ready to make my donation after watching. Hopefully, some heavy hitters will be too.
