TheRaginCajun
How many teams do people honestly think the A-10 can reasonably expect to get? Also, how many wins do you think SLU would need to get to be an at-large team?
SLUDrew
A lot depends on the UNC game. If we beat them and get to 20 wins, I bet we get in. If we don't we may need 23 or 24. The A-10 is terrible
Milwaukee Billiken
The A-10 will likely send 2 teams. Xaiver and whoever wins the coference tourney will go. If Xavier wins the conference tourney and has the best regular season record, as almost everyone is predicting, the second place team could make it as an at large, provided they have more than 20 wins and a couple of quality victories. Considering how difficult it is to win any conference tournament, nothing is a given. 2 teams is the best bet.
kshoe
the best thing that could happen to the league once conference play starts is for three teams to totally dominate and only lose games when they play eachother. Anytime Temple, LaSalle, St. B etc. beat one of these dominant teams it will be bad for the league. As Kwijibo always says, births aren't handed out by conference but rather by the best teams. If three teams can dominate conference play and all end up 13-3 or so then it could get as many as 3. If one team dominates like it did last year and then wins the conference tourney we'll be looking at 1.
bauman
...and I always thought "births" were handed out by women!
Billikenbooster
Of course a win over UNC will be a tremendous boost to the teams CV, but a must win is the MoState game before it. After the loss to SIU on the road, we must establish ourselves as a force locally, and a W at home is imperative. Lose at home and the weak A10 will hurt tremendously. Win vs MS, and the rest of the season is before us. mhg
