flyphan
How good is SLU recruting class going to be next year. If they have a class like the had last year with Tommie Liddell and Kevin Lisch than SLU should be pretty good next year. Who do you have comming in and are any of them ready to start for SLU next year?
davidnark
There will be three new players: -Dustin McGuire, a 6'5" freshman wing who was primarily recruited for his 3-point shooting. He will be a role player who will get limited minutes off the bench when an outside shooting specialist is required. -Adam Knollmeyer, a 6'8/9" big-bodied freshman power forward. He originally committed to Mizzou. He may compete for the minutes at the power forward spot. -Obi Okeafor, a 6'7/8" redshirt freshmen power forward. Obi was being recruited by high major programs after his junior year of high school (in Houston, Texas). He blew out his ACL and sat his entire senior year of high school. He is a big, athletic body that is supposed to have decent basketball skills, but it still is unknown whether his knee is fully healed and whether he can get him self in the physical and conditioning shape required at this level. 3star_recruit
From what I've read, Obi wasn't really considered that athletic even before the injury -- he was highly ranked because of his skill level, which he still retains. If I was referring to one of our power forwards as athletic, it would be Knollmeyer.
cheeseman
To assume that Dustin will only get limited minutes when a shooting specialist is needed might not be correct. If the team struggles scoring as in the past, Dustin might very well get playing time if he can hit his shot as he did in h.s and AAU ball.
