hol22597
Met a girl named Holly who says she played baseball for St. Louis Univ. I'm not exactly sure of the years...could be anywhere from late 80's to mid 90's. Anyone know of a female SLU baseball player? I would really like to get in touch with her again but I don't know how. Thanks

hol22597
Well...she "said" her name was Holly. I haven't been able to track her down nor find any evidence that she played at or even attended SLU.

billikenmetz
Let me tell you, Holly holds most of the scoring records at SLU. Anyone with the name Holly has got to be a tremendous, 5-tool, Billy Beane-Moneyball type of player. Sabermetrics aside, Holly laid down bunts and could really leg 'em out...I think they retired her jersey (69) at a ceremony two or three years ago...as an infielder, she was always keeping the balls in front of her, knocking them down with her chest and making the play. She was a third basegirl, brought new meaning to the Hot Corner...
Quality Is Job 1
You, sir, have poor taste in humor. I thought your joke about Savvis/Family was funny, but this joke is just in poor taste.
billikenmetz
Thicks, you obviously don't have a sense of humor. Sorry. I guess things get under that thick skin of yours rather easily. It's ok. I understand.
Quality Is Job 1
I have a sense of humor, but it's not gutteral.
hol22597
I take it no one has ever heard of her. Any idea how/if I can verify her story of playing baseball there? Any of you have inside contacts that could check?
billikenmetz
I was the student-manager for the Bills for a few seasons (03-04) and I just went through the all-time rosters in the 2003 Media Guide and no Holly ever came up. Was she a "Diamond Darling," or whatever the hell they call baseball cheerleaders??
