The Bills over Avila

No stats or info today as the computer has this down as an exhibition game.  The game counts for The Bills but not  as far as the computer is concerned. Interestingly, while the game officially counts for The Bills...it is considered an exhibition game for Avila.

The computer's only comment was that Avila  lost to Houston Christian by 27 pts. HCU is an F- team and the computer ranks it 4th  worst in the nation among D1 schools.

Bottom line...PYOS...pick your on spread...as long as you have The Bills winning by double digits.....The computer would like a shake (as in Shack)

I think we will win by double digits but it will not be as easy as I thought it would be.

We won by double digits all right, you seldom see a win by 51 points and we had the whole bench playing for most of the second half. Great instructional game for the SLU team. They are looking  good and this game counts for us.

The bench needed some good things to happen for them. Larry saw some shots go in, which would really help the 2nd unit.

Here are the Avila grades on today's game slash....F- /F- / F- / F-... including 0-11 from the 3...  and this is why the game was a blowout. Also why the computer didn't want to do a spread or forecast stats.

However that doesn't mean their aren't  some takeaways from this game.  We will start with my fav ...TOs ...9 ...Anytime you have single digit TOs something good is happening...combined with 21 TOs from Av=again a blowout....10+ TO differential always spells doom. Bills slash line A+ /A+ / C / A+....Overall a good day....The C came from Swope having an off day(1-9). Had he just had an ordinary day 2 more 3s for  33% we would have had a straight A+ line. Not a big deal especially on a 51 pt win. Not worried... the shots will fall for him. Also nice day on the boards 44-32 .  Again a 10+ differential usually leads to victory.

Overall a good effort....I would like to see them get off to a better start...we have had a few slow starts....might be a characteristic of a team that hasn't yet gelled. Perhaps when they come out of the locker room at the start of the game we can have the scoreboard read 2nd quarter.

On to LM and a much more competitive game.
