HoosierPal
Need some love on this board for the SLU Harriers. Yesterday at the Mizzou XC Kickoff, held at the Gans Creek CC Course, the Billiken men finished 2nd, and the women 3rd. Okay, there were only two full men's teams and three full women's teams, but there were some nice times. Jr. Lukas Iwanowski finished the 6K at 18:37 in 7th place and freshman Manny Vela debuted with a 9th place finish at 18:43, setting a college PR for himself [it was his first race]. Sophomore Emily Morden lead the women in 6th place clocking in at 18:03 and freshman Emery Mayfield finished 10th at 18:24 in the 5K event. Mark Sept 21st on your calendar for the Billiken Invite, at St. Vincent Park. Lord Elrond likes this
Cowboy II
-I thought this was going to be a thread to plead for a real estate buy so they would have a course of their own HoosierPal and Billikenbooster like this
HoosierPal
Anyone else out at St. Vincent's Park yesterday to witness the Billiken Invite XCC meet? The Billiken Woman's team scored a perfect 15 in winning the meet. Emily Morden nipped teammate Emery Mayfield by 3 seconds in the 5K for the win. The Men's team wasn't quite perfect but won with a score of 18. Freshman harrier Manny Vela won the 8K in 27:22. (Let me know if you need the conversion factor for minutes per mile.) Okay, the competition wasn't the greatest but a win is a win. The competition takes a major leap next weekend at the Gans Creek Classic. If you haven't been to this Columbia MO course, it is worth the drive to go see the Classic. billiken_roy and Lord Elrond like this
