Despite wins yesterday by SLU, Dayton and Davidson, NET went down for all three. Of course they went down. The NCAA is controlled by the big conferences. Can't give us room to get multiple bids. They need teams like Indiana and Syracuse who didn't even have a 500 record in their conference season.

The NET is the ranking model for the NCAA that it uses as a guide...My model (on the C2D ) side is trying to look at the whole picture and is using a NET model strategy ...an A-10 tourney forecast and the Selection Committee criteria to try and figure a teams chance of getting a bid. After the auto bids , the Committee uses the NET Tracker to select the almost auto bids ...teams that are in or around the Top 25... finally they select a final 25-35 teams to put in a pool to pick out the final 10-20 teams. After they do this the NET Tracker goes in a waste can and the pool teams enter what I call the Twilight Zone....a fuzzy and unclear area where decisions are made on unknown data (each voter has his own "important criteria" and "other things". This is not a good place to be if you want a bid as strange things can happen especially if you are not a Power 5. I have updated the C2D on today's Dav spread thread. The A-10 teams are fading as we play each other. Conferences like the B10 are strengthening there hand as they beat good teams in their conf...better teams then the A-10 teams. So it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy as their numbers go up faster than ours. Just win 2 and you don't have to worry about any of this...we are in control of our own destiny.
