billiken_roy
Just back from a long vacation lounging on a beautiful beach in the riviera maya. While there, i read the above book. "The Chosen Ones" was written by Saint Louis University grad, Tony Meale. It is about the lead up and playing of the ohio high school state championship game of 2002 which was the only state championship game lebron james ever lost. Highly reccommend the read. Very well done by a fellow billiken.

The team, Roger Bacon High School, is in St. Bernard, an innner suburb of Cincy. I'll have to check it out.

The books leads me to believe the roger bacon coach, the late bill brewer, was a poor man's rickma. Demanding to the nth degree. Sad that he too died too early. DeSmetBilliken
That book sounds pretty good. Tony was a year or two behind me at SLU, and while I didn't really know him, we both were sportswriters for The University News. Always good to hear a fellow Billiken doing well!
