thetorch
If a kid is offered a visit take it. If I was in a kids shoes and offered a weekend trip that sounds anything remotely like what the recruits have gotten at Miami or Colorado I am taking as many as I can regardless of where I really want to go. kevinfootes
I agree that you shouldn't throw away a scholarship. I just don't understand what you mean by "suffice". Do you think that SLU will be a gimme for the big dance next year with Ian as a starter?

bauman
Broy, no way that IV guards a quick player next year. He has no foot speed at all-in all of Brad's 2 lengths of the court wind sprints during practice, IV finishes a poor last unless BH is in his group in which case BH is even further back of the pack. tseugnekillib
IV will never be quick, only a fool would think otherwise. However, can he improve his present foot speed....yes, of course. The question/concern is how much can he improve his foot speed? If you watched the Billikens practices, when the team or the losing group in a practice drill have to run timed ladders or sprints, the two freshmen bigs(IV and BH) are allotted five extra seconds to cross the final end line. Soderberg isn't as much concerned if IV and BH cross the finish line in 34 or 36 seconds, as he is in the effort they are putting forth throughout the sprints. I wonder how much Georgia Tech's 7-1 center, Luke Schenscher, improved his full court sprint times from his freshman year versus this March?
