xu95
Congratulations. Welcome to the A-10. I look forward to Xavier renewing our rivalry with SLU. xu95
SLUDrew
XU95, Thanks and the feeling is mutual on renewing the rivalry. I know the Big East is getting all the hype, and deservedly so, but I really think we have the makings of a powerful conference in the A-
jmolina
Glad to hear the news. I always thought that was the best option. No matter how much Doug Elgin tried to convince folks otherwise...
Quality Is Job 1
I listened to Doug Elgin on the show "Beyond Ball" with Brian Burwell yesterday (Tuesday, Nov. 4), and even he said that the A-10 is the better option for SLU. As I said after Elgin's letter appeared in the paper, I have no problem with Elgin's pimping his conference. That's what he's SUPPOSED to do. It's too bad that Britton Banowsky (and Mike Slive before him) couldn't be as forward-thinking.

Bay Area Billiken
It will be good to renew the old rivalry with Xavier. Did we ever beat them in Cincinnati Gardens during the old MCC days? I don't think so. We did beat X several times at the Old Kiel. But we lost at least 2 MCC Tournament championship games to the Musketeers, which kept SLU out of the Big Dance. Xavier has a strong, nationally ranked program, and has had its way with the Cincinnati Bearcats in recent years.
CentFLBilliken
We beat them once at the Gardens, our last season in the MCC, I believe.
Bay Area Billiken
In reviewing the old records, in the 9 years that SLU was a member of the MCC with Xavier, SLU was 7-16 against XU, 5-4 at home at the Old Kiel, 2-7 on the road, and evidently 0-5 at neutral tournament sites. Xavier will be a formidable opponent.
