  1. I think that’s the plan. The scooter accident just forced their hand. At this point, he’s still under the game threshold for a redshirt. They won’t force him into games, if they can get another year out of him.
  2. I was thinking the same thing. Plus, he’s so overly-theatrical. He’s making the game about himself. Also, how many times are we gonna stop the game for 5 minutes, to review video?
  3. Dukes 8-11 from the 3-point line. SLU 1-7 from the free throw line. Billikens trail by 2. Basketball is weird.
  4. Sorry, I just saw this. Another good Samaritan helped me out, but I appreciate it!
  5. Team Fluff has a better NIL program.
  6. Anyone happen to have extra tickets to Wednesday’s game?
  7. Agreed. I think we were all flabbergasted as to why TJ was sitting for so long. That stretch, where he scored 6 unanswered points (including 2 dunks), was riveting. It made no sense to sit him. Pickett HAS to be injured (not just hurt). He has looked like a totally different player lately. Like Okoro, he seems to have regressed this year. But, Pickett was still much better at the start of the season. Now, he’s a liability. Did Perkins play, at all, in the second half? Does he not have the gas for 40 minutes? Does Coach value defense more in the final 20? Either way, Perkins is a 3-point shooter now. That quick first step (and the amazing mid-range jumper that resulted from it) doesn’t seem to be returning this season.
  8. Totally agree. And, it was almost like the boos accidentally slipped out. The fans in attendance saw the team (specifically, Yuri) giving the game away to a bad team, and the boos were almost instinctive. They quieted down fairly quickly (booing college players is fairly uncommon), but it was definitely there.
  9. This Rhode Island team was like looking in a mirror. Which makes sense, since the game was tied with 1:20 left. No remarkable players on either team, same garbage Harlem Globetrotters weave (to run 12 seconds off the shot clock, just to get the ball back to where it started), poor ball protection, lazy passes, etc. Just a couple of very average D1 teams. Pretty sure I heard some boos directed toward Yuri, toward the end of the game. Lots of frustration with the program right now.
  10. Not sure if these are still available, but I just PM’d you
  11. Definitely. Empty seats don’t buy concessions, souvenirs, etc. Also looks good for TV and recruiting, to have a full house.
  12. I cringe every time Okoro dribbles the ball. And I think it’s insane to have him facilitating the offense, at the top of the key.
  13. *Yuri’s worst game, maybe ever. *I didn’t hear Jimerson’s name called much. *A tale of two Okoros. *No coaching adjustments in the second half. *No answer for Quisenberry or Moore.
  14. As good as Okoro looked in the first half, he’s been equally garbage in the second.
  15. Pickett about to get a stupid technical? Did he shove someone after the play?
  16. Our bigs are suckers for simple headfakes. Quisenberry travels on an easy breakaway. Parker fires up a 35 footer. What is happening?
  17. Probably trying to talk Dr. Chaifetz into buying him a #1 starter.
  18. Yeah, their mascot really gave a good effort. Reminded me of Teen Wolf
  19. This was my first outside-of-STL Billikens game. It was awesome. I loved how many Billikens fans made the trip, and how we were surrounded (in our section) by a like-minded group. I love the smaller college arenas. They get loud! And credit to Loyola’s huge student section. My favorite part of the evening was ‘singing’ the instrumental version of ‘When The Saints Go Marching In,’ followed by the ‘SAINT LOUIS’ chant. Oh, and got to fly home with Rammer and Earl Austin this morning!
  20. Luckily, no broken bones. Hoping for a speedy recovery.
