  1. Merry Christmas everyone, thanks for listening! Here's a little something to escape from the family with for around 2 hours this afternoon/evening.
  2. This was a bit of an experiment of adapting available technology to a different format being in person but I hope the quality is up to par. Youtube video is a fun watch for sure if that's your thing.
  3. It’s so much fun to be covering Soccer right now. We kick off the show with men’s soccer and talked for probably 45 minutes without even realizing it. Also a great segment with discussion on things we’re thankful for as Billiken fans.
  4. A note on today's women's soccer stream on Big Ten Network +
  5. We dropped a big show this morning including an interview with CJ Moore of the Athletic who penned the article about Ford Stuen.
  6. We got to talk with Drew Diener yesterday. It’s a shorter interview more focused on his upcoming return to St Louis with an absolutely absurd Chris Sloan story thrown in for good measure.
  7. We have the exciting opportunity to have Billiken alum and current Rockhurst HC Drew Diener for an hour to catch up and talk about his coaching career so far but mainly focus on what he sees from the Billikens in his preparation for the exhibition on the 26th. Do you have any questions for him regarding these topics? Drop a reply!
  8. We’re trying something a little different specifically with the release of this interview. We’ll see how it worksWe’ve set the interview to be “premiered” on YouTube tomorrow @ 6:30pm. The audio only will be released Friday 12am. This interview is so great and we can’t wait to for everyone to enjoy it as much as we did! Make sure you are subscribed to our YouTube channel (link below)and tune in tomorrow at 6:30pm : https://youtube.com/channel/UCjKU0PHmMCH70XutSS9NUAA if video isn’t your thing, you’ll still be able to listen Friday morning! It can’t be understated how important this message board has been to the rapid growth of the pod. So thank you all in advance for subscribing, watching and listening!
  9. Thank you RU. This is the last thing I'm going to post about the subject because like I said, I hate writing and furthermore hate posting back and forth on message boards or twitter. The accusation of plagiarism courtside is leveling is completely ridiculous. As much as I hate writing, I also don't read very much, especially long posts or articles. The idea that I not only read enough of Courtside's posts to digest and paraphrase or just straight up plagiarize is laughable.
  10. httpBs://twitter.com/SLUWSoccer/status/1434589990827212802?s=2The SLU women's soccer twitter account posted both goals. After closely watching them it was determined both were back post headers. This is insane. This kind of stuff is why Ben Wiexelmann and Nate Latsch quit doing Billiken Report(besides the lack of monetary compensation).
  11. With all due respect, we both watched that game and the idea that if you keep putting pressure on you're going to make your own luck, is not some deep dive analysis. Peter and I both read this board and if he's like me most of it is on cruise control skimming posts so again if we're paraphrasing it's subconscious or just that we also had that same thought.
  12. I appreciate you taking the time to write out such detailed feedback and we will definitely discuss the points you've made as a way to improve our coverage. I will say this, Peter and I are both here participating in discussions and threads for all sports under our personal handles which, myself at least has tried to keep as an "open secret" that doesn't take much to figure out if you really want to. I am also pretty self conscious about my writing ability compared to my verbal skills(which are still barely above average). Personally I don't like writing and don't think I'm very good at it. I can't tell you how many times I've written out posts on this board and deleted them before posting. Same with twitter, it's just not worth it for me to get sucked into written discussions online. It's probably part laziness and part lack of an attention span. Also if I'm going to talk about something on the pod, I'd rather people listen to what I have to say there than read it here. When I do post it's generally silly and lighthearted stuff. I don't think Peter and I are ever intentionally referencing posts or regurgitating posts(unless they are our own) on purpose. I know personally I don't script much of anything, I have an outline in front of me with queues and just go with my opinion I'm feeling at that moment.
  13. I know this is a bit of a tongue in cheek post but in all seriousness this really does make me smile. -Z
  14. Billiken fans collectively got Travis to come on the pod. Flex that muscle and tweet at Larry to come on the podcast.
  15. Bumping this for those who may have missed it over the holiday yesterday.
  16. I have 4 tickets to Thursday's game vs Louisville if someone would like to use them. - Zac
  17. The above description is what happens when you edit and upload late at night. The description may be low quality but the interview is peak Billiken content I promise you. - Zac
