  1. I apologize for the role I played in that. Emotion got the best of me.
  2. Sorry for engaging in that stuff Steve. I’ve put him on ignore. Won’t be a problem anymore.
  3. If that’s what it takes, I will. You’re so brave and free spirited because you’re so willing to take that risk to see a fuking basketball game. We all look up to your courage and chivalry. What a fuking joke!
  4. Sorry, as much as I love going to Billikens games, it’s not worth dying over or having a loved one die over. Some things are absolutely worth dying for. Seeing a live Billikens game isn’t one of them.
  5. I have to agree. The kid has talent, but no way he shows up on Kentucky's radar if his last name isn’t Toppin.
  6. You could be right. It depends on how close the offer is to becoming a reality to begin with. If there’s mutual interest but SLU is waiting to see how other chips fall, putting a little pressure on can’t hurt.
  7. I thought that too. Put some heat on Ford to officially offer. Wouldn’t surprise me.
  8. My guess is...he wouldn’t have made such an announcement against Russell’s wishes. I’m guessing someone told Frank it was ok to announce it. Frank has not amassed all the sources he has by pissing off kids and/or high school coaches. From the SLU perspective, I don’t think he cares. But I doubt he would make an announcement like that without the ok at least from his source. But that’s just speculation on my part.
  9. I’ve always been a “I’ll believe it when it’s official” type of person (following MLB trade deadlines for so long has made me skeptical of even the most realistic rumors). I’m sure both Frank and Carter BOTH have reliable sources . Sometimes stuff just happens, changes, falls through. Not concerned At all at this point, but any news on Andre signing?
  10. For what it’s worth, here’s my 2 cents on this situation. I can see both sides. I am one that likes the rule that makes a kid sit a year. I think there’s something about being forced to stick to your commitments that builds character. That’s just how I was raised. If I joined a club or team, and didn’t like it, my parents made finish. I think that made me a better person. I also think, that rule benefits these kids to a certain extent. I think there are plenty of slimy, snake coaches that will promise the world to kids to get them to transfer, only for the kid to wind up as the 3rd guy off the bench. That being said, it DOES make me sick that coaches (and a lot of NCAA execs) are making millions of dollars off of these kids backs (I’m not going to get into the pros and cons and endless complications that will come from playing college players here). Yes, they get a scholarship that they can use for the rest of their lives, and I think that’s fantastic, but a lot of these coaches are making 10+ million dollars a year, before any endorsements. That seems crazy to me. And since that’s the case, I can understand the argument of giving these kids certain a level of freedom, especially if their coach gets fired/leaves, extreme personal circumstances, etc. I think giving kids a waiver in such circumstances would be perfect...if only the NCAA allowed ANY transparency into what that waiver process is. The seemingly random selection of who gets a waiver and who doesn’t is another in a long line of NCAA scams. As far as how I think it will effect SLU: I think we will be effected, but it will hit low-majors much harder. I don’t see why kids like French or Goodwin or Perkins would leave a good situation, where they all have a LEGITIMATE chance to win A10 player of the year to come off the bench at Kansas. I think a lot of kids are smart enough to know whether or not they’re happy where they are, whether a coach is making promises he can’t/won’t keep. And quite frankly, kids don’t NEED to play at a blue blood to get drafted. SLU has plenty of nationally televised games every year. If you’re good enough, they’ll find you. I think it will hit low-majors much harder. They find a diamond in the rough, and all of a sudden the kid gets offered play for a team that was a 4-seed instead of having to win his conference tourney to earn a 15-seed. That’s tough. Apologies for the long tedious post. Just thought I’d weigh in.
  11. Is it weird to anybody else that the cheerleaders in this video are dressed as dominatrixes (what’s the plural of dominatrix?)? Lol
  12. Do you know what it’s called? Should I just google “fruit water pitcher”?
  13. This is really cool @dlarry. I’m gonna have to get one. Thanks for showing it to me!
  14. Friends from work and I did karaoke at Southtown. It might’ve been my singing that made them close their doors. If so, I apologize to all.
  15. Pretty much all I’ve had to drink for the past 2 months is coffee and water. It seems super boring (it IS super boring), but I’ve gotten used to it. And I feel better physically. Give and take I guess.
  16. Definitely living vicariously through her sons. She’s no Lavar Ball though. Lol
  17. Dr. Pepper was always my go to, but also loved IBC and Fitz’s. I’ve become a big coffee guy the last 2 months so I don’t get caffeine headaches.
  18. Agreed. Looking for new entertainment during this shutdown.
  19. Lol. I quit soda like 2 months ago. I didn’t think I’d miss it as much as I do.
  20. I think it is Germany. I had a couple buddies that used to work at Dalie’s and I remember hearing about the location in Germany.
  21. How does everyone feel about Carl’s Drive-In? I think it’s good, not great. But their root beer is worth the price of admission. And it’s a cool, quaint little place to have lunch. But I think they get more recognition than they probably are due.
