No kidding! Watching them lose against Oregon State actually impressed me because they nearly pulled out the win despite a terrible shooting effort. They could go deep in the East, especially if LSU or Bonnies upset Michigan.

Yep. It’s also a bad draw to get the in-state 1 seed. Illinois is capable of a let down game, but I doubt it’ll happen against an in-state opponent with a recent final four.

I actually have nothing against Loyola. I’ve watched them a few times this year. Great defensive team, and they play hard. Their talent level is below what you would expect of an 8 seed though. I think Illinois is as bad of a matchup as possible for them because of that reason.

Loyola is more likely to lose to Ga Tech (without their best player) than keep it within 10 against Illinois. On that note, I’m excited for the Loyola game today. Tough draw for both teams.

Do you believe Travis Ford’s son had a 21st birthday party in St. Louis days before Christmas and didn’t see his parents that day or within the days after? Because that’s the only scenario I can dream up where this wouldn’t be relevant to SLU basketball.
