Curious here. In the last five games, Yarbrough has averaged 30 mpg. (I factored out the OT 5 min for this discussion.) For the year he is averaging 24 mpg. What do you suggest Yarbrough average over the next five? And for my money, if I am replacing him, I'm putting Agbeko in at the 4.

Butler's leader is Rosie Jones from O'Fallon. Butler has more or less the same team as last year, with the exception that Jones is healthy, plus their core is a year older. Why didn't Majerus recruit Jones harder?

Being a native Hoosier from Indiana, and have traveled throughout most of the US, I can say that St. Louis is the only city where hoosier is a derogatory term. OK, enough of the OT for now.

OK, I know you aren't really interested, but I am going to post this anyway. While there is no verifiable answer to the derivation of the term Hoosier, the following is what is thought to be likely most correct. A Louisville contractor named Samuel Hoosier preferred to hire workers from communities on the Indiana side of the Ohio River like New Albany rather than Kentuckians. During the excavation of the first canal around the Falls of the Ohio from 1826 to 1833, his employees became known as "Hoosier's men" and then simply "Hoosiers". The usage spread from these hard-working laborers to all of the Indiana boatmen in the area and then spread north with the settlement of the state.

Wait a minute, I think I am offended. Or maybe not. I'll get back to you. Be ready to defend yourself, fake Hoosier!

I agree that he has a ton of potential. In hindsight, 2/3 of the way through this season, I now wish that he had redshirted this year. He has not been a difference maker in any game this year, so losing his production likely wouldn't change our record. If Jolly and Manning (and Agbeko) picked up his 14 minutes per game, we still would be 9-12. He obviously needs more mass to defend A10 post players. If he could develop physically and vastly improve his footwork in order to defend quicker 4's, my what a stretch 4 he could be. Hindsight is always 20-20.

You realize there were two teams on the floor. You do realize that UMass was trying to stop what we were doing. What do you think Kellogg told his players, don't guard Crawford. They have Crawford and McBroom blanketed. Gillmann was left open. If the coaching staff didn't want him to take an open shot, then he shouldn't have been on the floor. Anything in the paint gets swatted out for UMass block #8. The zebras would have swallowed their whistles and let what ever happened happen.

Wide open shot for Gillmann, you take that every time. Next year he will hit it.

I think the comparison is a valid one. I love Roby and his potential. But his stats aren't as good as Jett's freshman full season numbers. Jett: 24.1 mpg, 7.5 ppg on 42% shooting, 3.1 rpg and 2.4 apg. Roby: 22.1 mpg, 5.1 ppg on 38% shooting, 2.6 rpg and 2.1 apg. Roby has another dozen or so games to catch and pass Jett.

I like Roby. Physically he is by far the most developed of the frosh. He's got some "guns". I watched him closely last night. He needs to guard closer on the perimeter when his man has the ball. More than twice, he gave his assignment enough space to get off an open 18 foot jumper. Roby is quick enough and strong enough that few will drive around him. Just needs to be a step closer on the perimeter.

Agree. This year Emmanuel Mudiay is a consensus Lottery Pick. He is playing in fricking China. The NBA doesn't care where you play. They don't need to see you play 15 minutes a game at Kentucky. The will find Mr Tatum here in backroads St. Louis.
