  1. It was last game when you wanted Jacobs benched. How soon you forgot. I never said it was today. Go back a few days if you care to. I'm saying Jacobs continues to earn his minutes.
  2. Ha. Nice change of tune. So now are you a Jacobs believer? There is only one GloryDays/TRavTFord/glazedandconfused.
  3. You were ready to throw Jacobs under the bus. Aren’t you glad Ford ignored you? (Ford doesn’t read this board .)
  4. Basketball can cause injuries. Thatch’s issue is medical.
  5. Good thing Ford didn’t take your idea of benching Jacobs for Perkins.
  6. Our opponent in next year's MWC - A10 challenge, San Diego State, passed their toughest remaining test last night, beating a good Utah State team on the road in Logan. SDState will be favored in their remaining 14 games, so they have a solid chance at running the regular season table. The Aztecs have 4 Q1 wins, so their lofty position in the polls is justified.
  7. Perkins and Jacobs both missed the front end of 1 and 1's. Effectively, that's 4 missed free opportunities. If/when French gets to a 50% FT average, I will rejoice. I'll take a 38% FT French over no French at all.
  8. The injured Mitchell is Kolton Mitchell, a guard. Tre Mitchell played in their last game against Akron. Weeks did not. As you stated, Weeks is a 48.5% 3FG shooter (32 of 66), so if he is unavailable, that is huge. This will be an interesting matchup of two freshmen point guards, Collins and 6'3" Sean East. East is a scorer, 11.6 ppg, as well as a solid distributor at 5.2 apg. They do have another player out for the season, John Buggs, a freshman guard. And just found this concerning Weeks. Dibaji Walker is a 6'9" transfer from Cleveland State. He likely could supply some depth. He played 17 minutes in his first game back and launched 6 three's, hitting one.
  9. Is that @SluSignGuy posing as a Colonial on the GW logo?
  10. Today the game is a Q1 loss for us as Duquesne is at 75. Not that any loss is good. If Duquesne plays respectable, this shouldn't go lower than a Q2 loss.
  11. No idea. Maybe the rims were tight....or loose. Checked the play by play and both Perkins and Jacobs missed the front end of 1 and 1. So effectively the trio was 0-6. For those three I would have written in 5 of 6. Yes they are good FT shooters, but not last night.
  12. French actually brought our FT% up last night. He hit 40%, while the team was at 38.9%. The culprits were Jacobs, Hargrove and Perkins. They were a collective 0-4, with at least one miss on the front of a 1 and 1. More shots for French!!
  13. Belmont was a Q3 win prior to tonight. I doubt it they fall to Q4 solely on this game. But the hopes of them moving up to Q2 are gone.
  14. About half our points came on turn overs. We left our offense in STL. Hightower was the best at stopping dribble penetration. We left our D in STL.
  15. 36.5/30.0/38.9 That's the formula for a L.
  16. Hightower getting this team straightened out.
  17. Interesting switch for the Dukes. No mention of Tavian being hurt.
  18. I too was anticipating a much faster pace than previous teams. But we are 11-2, so it is hard to complain. We are averaging 3 fast break points more per game than last season so there is that. But yeah, I was looking at 94-40 as to where we were going. But when Collins was called for that 10 second violation walking the ball, uncontested, up the court, my hopes for the Running of the Bills all be disappeared.
  19. No argument here. Just hard to call first of 18 as a do or die game, but yeah, close to it.
  20. It is too early to say this is a must win, but it would be very, very good to win this game. Today (one can go crazy following the daily fluctuations of NET ratings), this would/will be a Q2 win. In the first 1/3 of the conference, we play 4 (as of today) Q1 or Q2 games. The downside is that Duquesne may/will slip in the NET ratings as the season progresses, and this could go to Q3. No Q3 L's please.
  21. Duquesne goes 8 deep. They have 8 that have averaged double digit minutes in all 12 games. They have started the same five in all 12 games, but have three more in the regular rotation.
