1. You can marvel in God's opportunities at SLU as well. I'm pretty sure Our Lord Jeebus permits us to marvel in opportunities wherever we choose. At Valpo. At SLU. At Hooters. Just sayin'.
2. Interesting that both Lunardi and Palm have us facing Akron.
3. Somehow I never heard that Mickelson/Krispy Kreme story. Awesome!
4. It's not the law degree that gives you the license to be an a-hole. It's the money in your bank account, the ass kissers who never tell you "no" and the University who looks the other way, even momentarily, in exchange for the fat checks.
5. I told them Dayton sucked and the BPI is flawed.Lol...+1000
6. Polls are just that...unscientific judgments of media and coaches. Like college football, initial ranking virtually guarantees perceived legitimacy. See, e.g., Butler. That being said, poll ranking no doubt influence seeding in postseason tournaments.
7. My uninformed take is that, while I don't know if we'll hear a new Big East "announcement" tomorrow or even in the next two weeks, I also haven't heard Chris May take to the newspaper and airwaves to start the "SLU will be fine regardless of whether we receive an invite" crap. If SLU did not feel reasonably good about receiving an invite to the Big East, I'm quite sure the powers-that-be at SLU would be out in force trying to prepare the masses (or at least the large donors).
8. Not sure we can pass NM. They are #16 and beat #22 Colorado State on the road today. If anything they're moving up. Still...not unrealistic to believe we can break the Top 20 after the VCU and Colorado St losses this week.
9. <blockquote class='ipsBlockquote'data-author="Taj79" data-cid="345967" data-time="1361624843">
I believe 17 or 18 would be about right. Certainly ahead of Butler, New Mexico and VCU for certain. But I think in reality, we'll be lucky to see 22 based on how these things work.

10. Make it 46 for Williams. Dude went off. Scored half of the Lobos 91.
11. What a game today. Kendall Williams goes 10-for-10 from three and puts up 40 points for the 'Bos. NM comes back to win. Good win for Bills RPI purposes and the loss by #22 Colorado State bodes well for our ranking next week.
12. From earlier today. SLU vs. Mizzou? How sweet would that be? http://espn.go.com/ncb/bracketology
13. I don't see how. My prognostication, for what it's worth: Butler #22 and SLU #20. Lot of love from media types on twitter tonight--we'll see if that parlays SLU inside the Top 20.
14. For your reading pleasure: https://twitter.com/ESPNDanaOneil/status/305135729699332096 https://twitter.com/ESPNCBB/status/305135517236854785 https://twitter.com/MedcalfByESPN/status/305124707680780289
15. Top recruits are not at home watching SLU and Butler on ESPNU on a Friday night. They're out drinking Zima's and collecting pelts. They might catch us on the DVR, though.
16. +1 Biondi is polarzing, but by no means ineffective.
17. As a SLU alum who grew-up in NM, I endorse the home-and-home. Go Bills (and 'Bos)! DD
