Interesting. I wonder how much of that is Travis no longer being interested in Jankovic versus Jankovic no longer being interested in SLU. He's a MORAN if it's the latter.

I threw a surprise brunch party for my wife's birthday at Boathouse last week (Sugarfire peeps) and the brunch food was outstanding. Bacon, sausage, waffles, quiche lorraine, eggs benny (2 different ones: chorizo and gauc & salmon), breakfast potatoes. I'm not usually a waffle guy but their waffles were particularly tasty. I was pretty amazed at how good it all was. I know I said this earlier but all of their non-BBQ food is really good. I guess I can add breakfast to that list. By the way, if anyone is looking for a place to throw a party, check out the Boathouse annex. The set up is awesome. They've got garage doors that open up out onto the lake, separate from the main dining area. THey've got a tv inside and on the patio by the lake in case there are games on. Decent space inside with bathrooms. -

It's pretty simple: We sign the top grad transfer and these 2 guys and we go on to win the A10 regular season and A10 tourney and enter the big dance as a 2 seed: 1 JADEN MCDANIELS PF Federal Way, WA Federal Way 6'9" 185 1 CASSIUS STANLEY SG Chatsworth, CA Sierra Canyon 6'5" 185 -

So are beer and alcohol sales now common at all tourney games? I've noticed people throwing back porch pounders when they pan the crowd. Because 4 or 5 years back, a group of friends (Kentucky and Kansas alums) got a box at Scottrade for the first 2 rounds so they could booze. It was the only way to drink at the game. -

Midwestern is in Cupples 9 building, just east of WHDT and Start Bar. It took the place of Flying Saucer. -

Bingo! My brother and I were just talking about how within a 2 block stretch in Old Webster, there is a PNC Bank, a US Bank, a Bank of America, and a First Bank. And now whatever bank is going on the old Gerber site. Pretty unnecessary. Wow, didn't hear that! Visualizing the interior of that BofA and trying to imagine what type of adaptive reuse they could implement. Sadly, I'm sure it will end up being another bank. Could be a cool spot for a restaurant in the back portion with the high ceilings. Offices in front. -

I've heard nothing but great things about Beast Craft. Cannot wait to try it out when it opens in the Grove. Is there a projected opening date for that? -

Yes, Modern. Haven't heard much on that since the NIMBY's freaked out over the new construction condo component of that project. While usually not on the side of NIMBYs, I understand their concern about runoff as a result of tearing down that nature reserve North/Northeast of Rolling Ridge to build the condos. Kirkham has flooded on that stretch of road in the past. Can't imagine what would happen with all of those trees and bushes torn down, especially given the somewhat steep grade. Not sure I agree with some of the NIMBYs that are worried about noise pollution late at night. I'm pretty sure Side Project is the "night life" part of the plan, and I'm pretty sure they are only open Thursday - Saturday and close at 10pm. I'd imagine they'd have similar hours here. Plus, if you've ever been to Side Project, it's not like there are a bunch of rowdy beer drinkers outside crushing lung darts and yelling expletives. The Webster NIMBYs that ruined Sangita's luxury apartment project on the current YMCA lot were ridiculous. I guess they'd rather stare at a vacant lot and abandoned building than have someone.....wait for it.....RENT.... a luxury apartment near them! You enter off of Brentwood just north of the church. The line usually extends south beyond the intersection of Manchester. It's similar to Chik Fil A in that someone takes your order, you pay, and then keep moving until someone eventually hands you the food. Isn't a bad wait if you aren't stuck south of Manchester or East of Brentwood on Manchester. -
You're correct. Forgot Reid Travis was a grad transfer.

I saw that the Bucknell big man is visiting Kentucky. I guess everyone wants a piece of the grad transfer action.

They are moving forward with redeveloping the old auto building, it just won't include a rooftop bar anymore. Should close on financing by end of April with construction to follow soon after. -

The cheeseburger. I don't think Sugarfire BBQ is anything special but they their non-BBQ food (particularly at Boathouse and Hi Pointe) is really good. -

Like Box said, a few more have opened recently but of those 4, I'd only consider 360 a rooftop sports bar. That's why I was pretty bummed when Webster made the Olive + Oak guys scrap their rooftop bar in Webster down the street from O+O. Was really looking forward to a rooftop bar with tvs just a minute from my house. -

Very good to know. I've been looking for a new go-to sports bar close to home to spice things up. Usually it's OBs or Twin Peaks. Haven't been to the Post in a while because it's just so small. -

That is good to know I will have to check it out soon. How's the set up for watching sports? The inside of the place depressed the heck out of me when it was that Bear Lodge Grill or whatever it was before J. Greene's. The fact that it has lasted this long must mean they're doing something right! This brings up a new topic: SPORTS BARS. I used to think St. Louis had decent sports bars and then I visited every other city in the United States. We are severely lacking in quality sports bars in this town. Particularly rooftop sport bars/bars. HEck, even Minneapolis, a frozen wasteland for half the year, has more rooftop sports bars than us! Just what St. Louis needs...another urgent care! I assume your go-to for Chinese is King Doh? I've got mixed feelings about that place... -

So J. Greene's is decent? That particular spot has always been a running joke for me because it has been about 2,000 different establishments over my lifetime, including a Krieger's. That area of Manchester in Warson Woods in general is odd. The spot across the street from it has been so many different eating establishments in the past as well: Boston Market, Super Smoker's, another BBQ place I believe, pretty sure an Einstein's, and Psghetti's which recently closed. -

St. Mary Magdalen is a great option because of the drive through. I'm still not sure how there hasn't been a major accident at Brentwood and Manchester because of the line. Not a fish fry but I used to go to Miss Sheri's Cafe in Warson Woods for a fish sammy during lent but sadly they closed down. -
