  1. Think we should be talking to their Department about a home and home next two years.
  2. The hack taking a rest
  3. I never had a problem with the service at Fieldhouse, and I thought the food was above average for bar food. That being said, their location was terrible. Once Humphreys returned, it probably cut the last thread that Fieldhouse was hanging on by. My hope is that someone opens up a place right on Olive near the parking garage. I believe that particular location would thrive much more than Fieldhouse did in its location.
  4. I agree. They are no different than anyone else. I don't fault any kid trying to make the most money he can under the current system, even if I don't like the current system. My point was that Gibby wouldn't have stayed here and Avila and Swope wouldn't have followed Schertz here out of some sense of loyalty if they were not getting paid at least close to their value in the open market.
  5. I'm rather confident that Robbie was paid something close to, but definitely not all the way up to, his market value. Same with Gibby and Swope. The three of them appear to be great kids, but their decisions did not have anything to do with the education they would get at SLU or wanting to "Be a Billiken." Let's not all kid ourselves.
  6. I would say just off
  7. Returners from last season had 59 of the 95 points
  8. Larry finally, hopefully, figuring out that spot up threes are his wheelhouse. No more crazy drives into three defenders Larry. More open threes please.
  9. What advantage of this weak schedule is that Thames is going to have time learn what he needs to learn to be ready to light it up in the conference play
  10. I’m liking Ackerman’s play by play
  11. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/insider/story/_/id/42213965/jay-bilas-2024-25-mens-college-basketball-preview Bills come in at 35
  12. Maybe that's because it was a 25 point loss
  13. https://slubillikens.com/news/2024/11/6/mens-basketball-billikens-basketball-to-air-and-stream-on-fanduel-sports-network.aspx At least 12 games will air on Fan Duel Sports Network. Tom Ackerman is going to do play by play and Troy Robertson will be the analyst.
  14. I agree. The starters were gassed by the end of the game. If Hughes, Dotzler and Casey were not contributing, then give McCottry and Brockhoff some minutes. Also, some who read this board might think I am down on Hughes. Actually, I am. But that is not because I don't think he can play or that I don't think he can be a contributor. His problem is shot selection. His shot selection is terrible. It seems like he thinks he has to get his shots in before he gets pulled from the game again. So, he fires up the first opportunity he sees just about every time he touches the ball. I'm really hoping that the coaches get through to him and let him know our system will get him open shots if he's patient. He doesn't have to create his own. Hopefully, that will convince him to stop taking the contested shots.
  15. We say stronger A10 every year, and every year it turns out not to be that way.
  16. This is where our terrible non-conference schedule comes into play. We have no margin for error. The rest of our non-conference schedule will probably not make up for this loss.
  17. Swope trying to do too much. Passing up open teammates.
  18. .....can't make a shot
  19. Let's just figure out a way to pull out this game and then hit cupcakes until he gets healthy.
  20. Is the right ankle the one he injured previously?
  21. On pace to give up somewhere in the 90s
  22. We can't seem to sustain our success
  23. Gibby!!! Let's Go
  24. Best way to stop their 3s is to take an offensive foul
  25. Finally getting some foul calls. They are the more physical team on defense, but somehow the fouls were 10-4 us.
