The part you all are ignoring is that I said I can see this team making an A10 tourney run and sneaking into the NCAAs ala 2000 Justin Love. And I don't think we will need a broken leg this time. Crews did his best coaching of the year but he couldn't close. Which happens to him often.

He has to earn it at the line and you might actually have a little time left (3 sec or so) to make a real play. Or the real issue was going to fast at the other end. You give up a terrible wide open 3 then you shoot a 3 on the other end when you only need 2. That was the plan after a time out? And you shoot it to quick. Never leave time

More sloppy coaching by Crews. You allow a wide open 3 with the lead and then Edney style with the tie. Game over. Loss. Should have stole one. However, this team CAN compete in this league. If Crews gets his head out of his behind and the boys continue to improve they are capable of an A10 tourney miracle run. This league is down. But Crews still may not be the answer

For everyone defending Crews, That tells the story right there. As I said in my initial post here, the Bills always played D. Maybe they would only score 20 points but they played D. This is a total mess this year. The team may get 12 wins. Mid majors in 2015 are finding success 3 ways. Gem recruiting (maybe 1 here?)...GW finds guy in Japan! JUCO transfers (look at Early last 2 years at wichita) or the 5th year guys who are grad students and come for the 1 year. We might have one gem in the rough recruit and neither of the other 2 variety.

That team rarely got blasted the way this one has at times. They played tough for 2 games and got some ref BS then quit.

Crews NEVER had any success as a coach anywhere till he got here with 2 years of Majerus recruits. Hes Bruce Weber 2.0. After Selfs recruits were gone, Illini tanked. Same thing here. Crews recruited 1 player so far, MY. MAYBE AG AND DR...but none of them are going to be tournament players at this juncture.

Crews is not and never was the answer. His team is just taking off games. 2 great ones where Ref robbery and turnovers and missed free throws did us in but looked like progress. Then a thud.
