  1. Down goes Kansas, down goes Kansas, down goes Kansas. Rock, choke, jayhawk.
  2. Rammer not only wrote the famous poem Casey at the Bat, he was the pitcher who struck Casey out.
  3. What are talking about? I'm looking forward to the 9 seed battle 24th seeded Utah Valley State, not to mention the 12 seed pillow fight of Rutgers vs. #21 SE Louisiana.
  4. Got to defend Cotton, the guy who lit up Akron for 36. Hopefully, Kyle can stick to him like glue and forec him into contested shots.
  5. Really good post. Cassity and Salecich are workmanlike players who will give great effort but won't lead you to championships. You've got to have someone who can light it up from time to time and McCall may be that type of guy. SLU needs to be more athletic at the two and three, and needs one more power player at the four. It's going to be interesting to see what happens with Loe, and how the playing time will be distributed next year. Someone will find themselves as the odd man out, and will probably move on.
  6. Bills need to get this done and win the CBI. Show up people. Green Bay is a tough team and the guys need you.
  7. Give it up for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons coming back in OT to take down Texas. Down 8 in OT and Ish Smith hits the runner with a second to go. From heartbreak city to jubilation city baby!!!!
  8. Gotta top 7K on Monday. C'mon Bills fans, show up!!
  9. That's pitiful, even the Dayton people have given up on that sorry team of theirs. Up yours, NIT board of retired coaches.
  10. Damn right, I want that Final Four, then a final series sweep. 2010 CBI Champions Baby! Has a sweet ring to it, well, it has sort of a muffled ring, but a ring nonetheless.
  11. It wasn't supposed to be, but I don't believe the NIT board of retired coaches, aka the NIT selection committee took their job seriously. The tip off for me is UNC getting a four seed and a home game to start the tourney. There was no criteria anywhere that said they should've got a four seed. Since the lower seeded team gets the home game, then the NIT stands to make money in this case. That's why the comment about Dayton's attendance. I feel like they're more concerned about the revenue than having a truly legitimate selection and seeding process. Leaving SLU out in favor of Illinois State and Northwestern was another way they made a joke of the process.
  12. Did Dayton have a sellout? I'm sure that the NIT folks, before they ask who won, will want to know that vital piece of info?
  13. Thought it was interesting that Stony Brook's coach had a four year record of something like 30-80 prior to this breakthrough year. They have some nice players and their crowd was terrific. The Memphis St. John's game was terrific and the Memphis crowd was outstanding. Very much like an NCAA Tourney game. Memphis wins at the buzzer by two.
  14. Rammer wouldn't even turn around and acknowledge me. He was staring at the stat sheet as if it was a Dead Sea Scroll. Earl kind of rolled his eyes when he realized that Rammer wasn't moving, and listened as I told him how much I appreciate their broadcasts over here in Nawth Kahlana.
  15. So what, you have to be in it to win it. I always liked what Dave Odom said while Wake was in the 2000 NIT which they went on to win. He said: "It's not the national championship but it's "a" national championship." For us Wake fans(I love SLU too) that was a fun ride. Good attendance at all three home games and then a trip to the Garden. Enjoy your team playing, improving and winning.
  16. Ridiculous, give Rickma back his charters. Rick how about cooling it on the hatred of the A10. There, everyone shake hands and let's board the charter.
  17. UNC did play at Carmichael Arena once known as Carmichael Auditorium. Dean Dome had previously scheduled renovations going on. Carmichael originally sat about 8200 unitl they removed the permanent seats, and went to bench seating sometime in the mid 70s. This increased capacity to about 9200. With the renovations there(and it was a junkpile with terrible acoustics,) and return of individual seating, it holds 6228 now. Therefore, the "Tarholes"(as us Carolina haters like to call them) had a sellout last night. BTW, the favorite saying among us Carolina haters here in the great state of NC is "Are you sure that's tar on those heels."
  18. Earl is awesome. You should have heard him wheezin' after Kwamain crossover(s) drive. It was four wheezer. Just kept going on and on! After the Charlotte game, I went down to press row to try to meet him and Rammer. Rammer was pissed about the OT loss and was incommunicado, but Earl was really nice and let me chat him up for a minute. I love listening to the Rammer and Earl call our games, but Rammer, don't take it so seriously.
  19. Attendance should be quite a bit better then next Monday, assuming a home game. Yes?
  20. We're up 10, Kwamain will shoot two at :41. Makes both. Up 12, 19 for Kwamain. ISU drains a trey. :27 to go.
  21. Conklin will shoot two. Willie in for Cody. First good, second good. We're up 11 at :57. Kwamain will shoot two. He makes one of two.
  22. ISU misses first. Misses second, ISU boards and they miss the three. :58 left, :18 left on clock. Our ball.
  23. Ellis misses a trey, Conklin boards and will shoot two. He misses the first. Makes second. 58-49.
