Some of the late 2nd Q turnovers were on some questionable travelling calls. Not sure these refs understand what travelling actually is. Put it this way, if this were an NBA game, every possession would end in a travelling call. Also, have to say that Jolly has not looked good at all on the defensive end. Just way too slow to guard anyone. If he's getting major minutes this year, we're in trouble.

Through the mid 2ndQ, have to say Miles has looked very sharp on both ends. He's clearly the quickest player we have and so far is using his quickness with a purpose. AG still has a nice shooting touch by the way. I'm at the part where we're up 20 and then fell apart with five straight turnovers. So far no shotclock violations.

Just noticed that the stat man didn't record Miles missing his first two FTs of the night. He must have actually been 10-12 for the game. So far that's the only stat I see that's incorrect.

From watching the 1stQ video, Miles gave the team a big lift in the first with a number of good assists. He was the most active player on the court. Mike shot the ball very well making a three and two long two-pointers. Neufeld and Welmer both show promise. Best two bigs we have now. On to the second quarter.

Apparently, the coaches are getting enamored with Hines as well as he started tonight and played 32 minutes.

At first glance, it seems surprising that the PJ Stingers would be better than the Atlantis All-Stars and the Bahamas All-Stars. Can't sleep on the Stingers though.

Ga. Tech thumped the Atlantis All-Stars Thursday night, 101-60. I think we have a chance to go 1-0!! Better put the clamps on their top scorer, Livingston Munnings, who lit up the Jackets for 24. Also, the North Florida Ospreys took down the Bahamas All-Stars 102-84. Sounds like these teams are equivalent to low d2, high d3.

If they go 3-0, I predict a surefire NCAA bid. 2-1 and it's clear there are internal problems on the team. 1-2 and Crews should be fired on the spot and be forced to swim back to the mainland. 0-3 and shut down the program and avoid tall buildings.

We already have a series of 3 tricky inbounds plays. Play 1 is throw to the left side of the backcourt, 2 to the middle of the backcourt, and 3 the right side of the backcourt. We even have 4 different guys who can receive the ball. That's a multi-variate count of 12 options. What more can you ask?

I look forward to the day when we can once again compete with the likes of #142 Texas Southern, #141 Coastal Carolina, and #139 Norfolk State. Happy days will indeed be here again.
