  1. Hilarious non-call on that charge drawn by CE
  2. He tried to play defense so he got called for a block automatically. Haven't you ever seen an A-10 officiated game before?
  3. Gotta love how the GW fans chant "air ball" as DE lays it in. What a bunch of idiots.
  4. If he meant the over the back call DE drew, we did steal a call.
  5. No answer for a 1-3-1 zone? Thanks for stopping the run DE
  6. To quote John Hollinger, we are "charmin-soft" down low.
  7. The GW telecast is f'ing terrible. They keep cutting to this under the basket angle with no warning and it is nauseating.
  8. And he went right to the basket the first time he had the ball and drew a foul. I'm going to replay that sequence over and over.
  9. It certainly did...that was time wasted that could have been used to get blacked out at Humphrey's, which is what I did.
  10. Shame on me. "if you are favorite team draws Saint Louis in the first two rounds of March Madness, you are favorite team has a problem"
  11. I've never understood this, but isn't it kinda disappointing that when people rally for a road game watch, it isn't Humphries? Shouldn't it be Humphries, no questions asked? I remember being there 4-5 years ago, heading over there with some other alums for lunch and beers, thinking we would watch the game there. It wasn't on and when I asked about it, they said "we don't get Charter", which blew me away. What is the game watching situation at Humphries now? Shouldn't they be doing everything in their power to be THE spot for billiken basketball and billiken basketball only? When I was there in Jan, they had a good pre and post game atmosphere, but the TV setup still sucked. Wondering what you guys think of it for a road game destination now...
  12. Rushing the court when we beat Butler looks a little stupid now.
  13. Romar was a scumbag who was obviously using this school as a stepping stone to bigger things. The only thing he was good at was playing whiffle ball with frat boys in the quad.
  14. Totally. Wisconsin had the same opinion of Brad. Nobody is saying Crews can't recruit, we're saying it is completely unproven. And if he can't do it, we're screwed. After next year we are in serious trouble if we don't get a better pipeline...Mike Crawford waiting in the wings doesn't exactly excite me. Having said that, Crews hasn't been given a chance and given the team's success he probably deserves it. We don't know if he can recruit, but if you put him in a situation where he isn't a lame duck, gave him this nationally ranked team to showcase along with a great stadium, the new Big East (and this message board of hot heads obsessing over everything), he just might be able to do it. Then again he may not...it is a risk. You would also have to confirm that he is 100% committed to this job and the common perception so far has been that he isn't and he viewed this position as a favor to Majerus and the school. Who knows.
  15. Maybe he was implying everyone should quit worrying about Crews, the Big East and all that crap and enjoy the ride that's in front of you. Unfortunately, there's probably been too much focus on that crap and everyone is so quick to jump on any anecdote posted on any idiot blog or website and it detracts from the team of the present in some ways. Maybe that's what he meant, because I find it hard that Bernie or anyone at the Post Dispatch would know anything about anything.
  16. Well, i'm not trying to compare Jordair to Redden...Jordair is by far the better player, but in terms of kind of carrying the team (to the extent you can say that with our ensemble cast) I guess that's a fair comparison.
  17. She did. Add that in and there's no way it wasn't the best week in Billiken hoops history.
  18. I agree 100%. This week was awesome, but was anyone shocked by what we did? Not really. That C-USA tournament in Memphis was something I'll never forget, given we were a 15 win team that had no business being in the tournament and nothing short of an amazing run of basketball (John Redden playing the best basketball of his life) and some luck (Kenyon Martin breaking his leg) was going to get us in. Bonus points for the fact that the morning after the Utah NCAA loss, my roommate and I saw Dave Ferguson scream at his girlfriend "I'm tired of hearing all this buuuullllshit 'bout the damn game!" in front of Marchetti Towers. Dave pretty much spoke for all of us there.
  19. The Lodge. Favorite bar of Charlie Spoonhour, who I ran into there a couple times.
  20. Really? I hope he's in the weight room turning into Charles Barkley.
  21. I left that there after the Charlotte game Thank you for your cooperation.
  22. You should be the athletic director. I couldn't have said it any better.
