I think that was Isabell's best all around game, he was great defensively. SLU really took care of the ball with only 8 turnovers. It was nice to see that play out of a timeout, Foreman to Bess on the baseline. Gordon needs to get the ball in his hands more inside. Three dogshit calls that stood out to me were 1) Bess getting called for a foul with 1 second left on the shot clock at the end of the first half, while going for the rebound, he didn't even touch the guy, this allowed them to grab a lead gping into half 2)the T on Bess, both players barely bumped each other, that had to be one of the weakest technical foul calls I've ever seen, this allowed Houston to cut their deficit from six to two 3) Foreman getting that foul call at the end was an absolute joke, giving them 2 free throws in place of the turnover. Both second half calls were made by the same ref. Those calls were huge in a close game like this.

We are a good team but can't overcome those things on the road.  I was surprised you didn't go put that ref in a headlock.

Perkins' SWIC team beat Mineral Area College a few nights ago and lost to undefeated Olney Central last night. SWIC numbers aren't available for either box score yet, but I'll update when those are available. SWIC is 3-3 so far on the season.

St. Mary's is off to an 0-3 start with Collins still recovering from shoulder surgery. Soldan and Whitfield beat them soundly but they only lost to U City by 4 last night. They play Pattonville tomorrow for what I'm assuming is the 7th-place game of the Vianney tournament. They're young. They need Collins to win at all this year.

East St. Louis (2-1) plays Belleville East (the one without Liddell) tomorrow. The Lancers (3-2) lost to DeSmet and Centralia before beating Cleveland, Jerseyville, and Cahokia. After the season-opening tournament this past weekend, Hargrove is averaging 21.7 points, 10.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2.3 steals, and 2.3 blocks. His slashline is .434/.444/.625 (23-53, 4-9, 15-24). Weird that his 3P% is higher than his 2P%, but that probably won't last much longer.

You should go work for Earl Time Updates!

Dude you gotta keep your kid at home. Guys bring their wives and girlfriends to games.

Why were you were sitting with Kyle then?  I actually purchased another ticket this season so I can start bringing my middle boy.  Now that you sit so close I am wondering if I can get a refund! haha

I coach a 2027 team comprised of 9 white boys from the same school. We are pretty good all things considered and win our fair share of games in various leagues around St. Louis. But when we played this 2028 team last spring they absolutely destroyed us. They've got a girl on the team that's as good as any of the boys and will be at UConn if she continues on this trajectory.

They are third graders this year if any of you want to go scout them...

I help coach a 3rd grade CYC team and we will play anyone anywhere!  Played up in the 3rd grade  as 2nd graders last year and took our lumps but this year we are ready to raise some banners.
