Gonna be watching at the house Friday night. Got kid duty after work, so I'll be lightly pre-pre-gaming until bedtime and then the real pre-game begins. Can't wait!

If you tell me where you're staying, I can try to recommend a place. Key word "try"...I live pretty far out from the city now, so I'm not as knowledgeable as I used to be.

We are leaving the kids at home so staying up right until 9 pm will be a challenge.  We are staying by Vandy and my buddy owns the Listening Room and he said that is an option.  I am open to suggestions though.  Thanks!

Nothing new that I'm aware of recruiting-wise. He's averaging 26.7 PPG, second in the metro area (Chris Hill from Brentwood averages 27.3), but his season just ended against Ft. Zumwalt South in districts. He scored just 13 in each of Liberty's last two games. He did just pass 1,000 points for his career, though.

SEMO is still the only offer. He should be interesting to monitor this spring/summer AAU season.

Thanks! His brother seems to be getting more minutes the last few weeks after being glued to the bench most of his freshman year.

I just wonder if coaches are telling their players to, not necessarily flop, but if there is hard contact, sell it. I also wonder if when our guys are playing against one another in practice, no one is selling it, and instead admirably playing through the contact. This might make it hard for the offensive player to know how much contact is too much contact in a game. Just a thought.

VCU did a great job of selling contact.  Maybe I just don't notice but I always find myself questioning why our guys don't.  TI is actually not bad at it.

  4. Some of those TO's could easily have been called fouls on VCU.  The refs let them get away with a lot which doesn't help our cause.  I can't say I watched the entire game (home alone with my 3 boys) but I didn't see any really careless bone-headed TOs which have seem to become our MO this season.

Olive and Oak is named for the 2 sons of the 2 owners who both died of congenital heart disease both just over a year old. We played the World Record baseball game for the Mighty Oaks Heart Foundation a couple of games ago. That charity is named for Oak Ortyl who's dad Greg is one of the Olive and Oak owners. He played in the Guinness game and I believe he played baseball for SLU.

Greg did play at SLU before me, great guy.

Maybe, but I thought our defense pretty much sucked last night. Way too many open looks from 3 and easy dunks and if Duq had been at all decent we would have lost by 20.

McBoom 2.0 kept us in the game, if he could shoot a lick it would have been over at the 10 minute mark.

On how this effects SLU, I think DePaul is one of the worst places he could have gone for SLU.  I don't want St. Louis kids viewing DePaul as a viable, close to home option.  This gives local kids a reason to pay attention to DePaul next season.

I would doubt there are many local kids ready to follow the path of CAG.

SEMO offer, but nothing else yet. Kid can really score. I'm interested to see where things go for him. Haven't been able to verify SLU interest.

His brother has gotten in 3 games this season as a freshman at Harvard. He's got a good 3 inches in height over his younger brother.

Thanks!  Yes, Cale hasn’t been getting many minutes yet but hopefully will soon. My parents are pretty close friends with their mom and stepdad. I’ve been trying to get to a Liberty game but haven’t yet.
