That would be really hard to do. Those teams played bad. I give Weber credit in that game. He had the less talented team. He kept his team close and let Mizzou self-destruct. I think right now SLU and St Joe are probably better than MU and UI. St Joe has only scored less than 65 points once all season and SLU's offense appears to be turning the corner.

I agree with you. I almost hope that the IllIni and Mizzou fans both convince themselves that he is a sure thing for them, just like they did with Suggs. He would probably end up at KU then. I hope we get him, but I am not going to hold my breath. If we don't get him we will still be fine. I have that kind of faith in Rick.

It seems from this link Watson from the PD thinks he will end up at Mizzou. Tyler is visiting Illinois this weekend.

Mac is McGlother's dad. Byron, Nick, McGlother, Lance and Mike are all brothers. The brothers are all first cousins with Rickma's good buddy Doc Rivers.

I am not even sure that the Mac Irvin involved in AAU is realated to McClother III after doing some checking. I thought they were but here is what found: I thought I was told it was his dad. I am not sure after reading that.

It looks like you were wrong Sheltie. He has stated he is not the the actual McClother Irvin. Isn't the Mac Irvin in Chicago AAU his dad and not the McClother Irvin III that played for the Billikens? I am pretty sure it is. I think McClother III goes by McColther and his dad goes by Mac. I could be wrong but that is how I understood it.

Sheltie, why the shot at RM in your reply? RM's current team already has a higher RPI in his first year than Weber has right now. He stepped in to a situation that was light years behind the situation Weber walked into. Weber is a great Xs and Os coach, but he hasn't shown the ability to close on recruits. Weber's job depends on him actually closing on the players you listed. At this point his time with the Illini has been a downward spiral. Rick's first group of players who signed on the dotted line is better than any class Weber has actually inked.

I pretty sure he is in the Chicago PHL Hall of Fame. Last I heard he was involved pretty heavily in Chicago AAU basketball. He had big talent, but his head wasn't in the right place. I believe he has lived in Chicago for pretty much his entire life, so I highly doubt that he would be attending meetings at Humps which he said he might in the post Thicks reposted. I am not sure if that poster is actually Irvin.

How is saying he is not Brian Grawer or Graves underestimating him? People forget how good Brian Grawer was and Graves is an All-American canidate. He is not tall enough or athletic enough to be an impact player on high mid-major level. Can he be a good player in the right situation? Sure, but he will also hurt any team he plays on defensively because of his size and lack of quickness (particularly his lack of lateral foot speed).

3star did you attend the tournament in Carbondale? It sounds like it was a pretty nice tournament.

Which Grawer kid. He could end up being similar or probably even better than Kevin who ended up filling a nice role on a good Tulsa team after he left SLU. I don't think he is anywhere close to Brian. Brian was an outstanding player at Mizzou.

I don't think it is fair at all to expect Kramer to ever play anywhere near the level AJ Graves. Graves is a potential All-American. Graves is taller, has a quicker release, and better foot speed than I have ever seen from Kramer. Graves is a better all-around athlete than Kramer. Kramer will probably be a nice player in the right situation, but I don't think he will ever come close to being the player Graves is.

According to Nate and some other people, it seems he will not qualify coming out. The kid appears to be a hell of a talent from everything I hear. It seems the kid is the real deal.

Give him a break Moy. He is upset people didn't come out on here and praise the Illini recruiting classes that they will supposedly sign in the coming years. So he has to take a shot at this years recruiting class for SLU. It is funny because it is better than any class Weber has actually signed at Illinois.

I am not trying to be a jerk, but most of us don't relly care about the recruiting at Illinois. We like to joke about the recent woes there, but we really could care less. They refuse to play us so we really don't care. I am sure the Illini will end up locking up all of those kids just like Gordon and like they thought they would lock up Suggs.
