Yes. Walking off, slight limp.

Hermann Stadium effect. All the fans are on the camera side.

She's so aggressive. It was true of her limited minutes in the regular season, as well. Makes me nervous.

2, per the box score. These official NCAA box scores stink.

Just an observation I can't back up with data, but it seems like every non-power conference program pursuing a leap in football has done so at the peril of the other programs within those athletic departments. Just bad decision after bad decision while the football blinders are on. Watching UMass' athletic department in the past few months has reinforced that for me. Drake seems like an athletic program that takes all of its sports seriously. Let's hope they don't sacrifice them to upgrade the football program (currently a non-scholarship team).

I just think there's more information available now. We also have a coach who's a lot more forthcoming with details than previous coaches. And sports medicine, training, and strength and conditioning have come an extremely long way in a relatively short amount of time. Plus, rules/laws have evolved to keep players safer and teams/leagues/associations protected from liability down the road. If the argument here was that players used to be tougher or more willing to play though pain, a lot of that just has to do with having less information available to them. If they were told "You can play but rushing back from this injury will probably cut short your season and/or career", a lot of players wouldn't have played through pain/injury. There are a lot of retired athletes who will tell you they wish they knew then what players know now. We went through a rash of injuries my senior year (2004-2005) and disagreements about whether guys should be playing or not spilled over into locker room arguments between coaches and players at times. It was ugly.

It was white shirts everywhere and somehow it landed on the forehead of that KC player. Unreal. The amount of passes SLU can string together without creating a good shot is really something to behold. I even tell the 8-year-olds I coach: There is no perfect shot. Take the first good one you get.

I could type 9 paragraphs but it's not that complicated. At some point you have to score f***ing goals.

I'm well aware. They deserve the publicity.

Wellspent is my favorite brewery in Midtown (and we have plenty within a short walk from campus). So underrated. Still love the original Urban Chestnut, too. Also be sure to check out Blue Jay - great space, surprisingly roomy, and super approachable beers if you're with non-adventurous drinkers.

The last two times I went to Field House, they were incredibly slow with bringing out food and drinks. Made us late the first time, and the next time they warned us it would be a while so we left. If they never got that pretty basic element of the business fixed, I wasn't going to return.

Same. And Kennedy was definitely fouled on your previous post about her being swarmed. One of them clearly hacked her and then Kennedy was called for the retaliation play. Disappointing game. Might've been different had Anumele been available for the whole game.

On a charge, too. Shame. USI seems to answer with runs every time, but SLU is hanging around. Down 7 late in the third.

Can confirm.

That's 21 wins in a row for Dayton. Finished 28-1 overall and a perfect 18-0 in conference. They're #15 in the RPI but not currently in the committee's top 16 seeds. Could be close, depending on how conference tournaments shake out.
-
Yeah, it's not even close this season. Dayton is #19 right now.
-
Gaebe tied the mark she set last season with 16 goals. I agree that they need to finish more of the opportunities they create. It's been an issue all year (and off and on in previous seasons). They aren't going to take down a 1-seed otherwise.

@GDT Bot is by far my favorite new poster. Doing fantastic work out here.

I was getting a headache.

Saved the season right there. What call did all the SLU players want?
-
Pretty weak stuff. Almost like they felt bad about calling the (correct) offsides call a few minutes prior.
-
Bergstrom had 6 points in 1 minute played. Leave her in the other 39 minutes and SLU wins this by about 170. Not sure why we're leaving so many points on the table.

This is a tough non-conference schedule. I'm pleased with the 2-1 start. Hopefully they can grab another one at Southern Indiana later this week. They were picked to win the OVC this season.

This felt like the play of the game. Gray had the ball and not much of a plan. Almost made about 3 different bad decisions before just going to the rim and making it happen.
