McGuire turned down the NCAA because he thought he was screwed having to travel so far for his first round. Because of that snub, the NCAA mandated thereafter that you have no choice. Nowadays, no one would do that anyway of course. Marquette won the NIT that year.

Has anyone received a mailing on NIT tickets? In years past seems like information was sent out by now. We're possibly looking at a game within 12 days or so.

kshoe is dead right on this one. And I think Brad would agree after having time to think about it. Had that last shot gone in, there would have been a ton of second guessing for sure.

Brad says that Kramer has to demonstrate first, of course, that he's able to play at that level. He was surrounded this past year with a lot of experienced seniors, so it'll be interesting to see how he does next year with a new group. Surely, Kramer needs to do what's best for him and be certain he wants to play for his dad. Brad played for his, so he knows the pitfalls involved. That said, I think it would be terrific for that to happen. If he continues to progress, he's gonna be one heck of a player.
