When the Arena is built, to have the Billiken in the main foyer of the arena entrance...all the students/alums/fans can rub the belly on the way in, kind of like how they do at Maryland with the Terrapin. I'd like to see that. Anyone else? Get it to the arena so that the myth of people "urinating" or "jacking off" on it gets put to bed. I'm sick of hearing it. I rubbed it everytime I walked to class.

Does Coach Soderberg have a little place under his desk (ala' George Costanza) where he can hide and cry like a baby when he loses the number of recruits that he did this week? How can we continue to stand behind a coach who settles for 0-star recruits? The big-time recruits can't be persuaded to SLU and we all know why. It's not about the lack of NCAA Tournament appearances. It's not about the facilities. It's about a coach who can't sell himself and the system and the method of which he coaches and the successful young men he wants to have graduate from Saint Louis University. Kids for some reason don't want to hear that, and we can't blame Brad for that. But we can blame him for folding when Huggy comes to call.

No, we will have this last minute issue until we get a head coach who can recruit. It doesn't matter about wins or losses. It's the coach. If I were being recruited, I'd want to play for a coach, not just a program. Why the hell did Wade go to Marquette? They hadn't won anything special until he got there. We need a Wade and now. We need a Tom Crean and now. We have a Soderberg and he needs to be canned.
