  1. I'm certainly not incredibly pleased with this past season, but let's be real Nebraska would have killed for Haith's level of success at Mizzou prior to this season. Nebraska has never had 3 20 win seasons in a row. Nebraska has won one more NCAA game than Haith. In the entire history of their basketball program.
  2. They had a better year, and will probably have a better season next year. Again, program.
  3. Nebraska has never been a better basketball program than Mizzou or SLU. At any point.
  4. programs go up and down, I'll be interested to see if crews can sustain momentum.
  5. I've given up on caring about whether or not they play. It's clearly not something Alden has any interest in so it's no longer worth thinking about.
  6. Also "program" typically doesn't refer to "next season alone." I'm pretty sure Haith just knew he had one year to show results and didn't like the look of the roster next season and cowered. This thread does read like the one after Quin Snyder got fired though. Shouldn't most of you consider it to be a bad thing that he's leaving Mizzou?
  7. Yes. Triumph is what this season has made me feel. Sure.
  8. More bummed that I didn't get to go to an A-10 tournament game with steve.
  9. I just think it's a dumb acronym, not that what it refers to is inaccurate (although what this board sees as a "scandal" when it comes to mizzou is pretty slight).
  10. Only because of higher traffic, and is tigerboard really the type of discourse billikens.com aspires to these days?
  11. I had a friend when I was at MU who did tutoring for athletes and I'm pretty sure he was given specific athletes to work with. I don't think it's just girls doing the tutoring but I can see why that would cause problems.
  12. I think it's also important to point out that this year was the best the A-10 has possibly ever been, so a 1 year comparison of fortunes might not paint the whole picture. SLU should still be in the Big East.
  13. He wasn't charged with any ethics violations, which is really the only kind of allegation that gets coaches canned. With how the NCAA handled the investigation it seems as though Miami will probably get off pretty easy in general. They had Nevin Shapiro's attorney on their payroll, and they considered anything Shapiro said twice to be "corroborated."
  14. Haith isn't really in that much trouble anymore.
  15. I think most mizzou fans are pretty cognizant that the last decade includes quin/rebuilding. If the time frame were 20 years or 30 years I'm guessing the avg. RPI would be slightly higher.
