  1. That's fine, let them be confident. They play the games for a reason and we have just as good of a chance as winning as they do! LET'S GO BILLS!!! YOU GOTTA BELIEVE!!! "Praises we sing, to you our alma mater, Praise to the white and blue. Our hymn shall ring, in tribute strong to you, We hail Saint Louis U." Official Billikens.com sponsor of Andrew Latimer
  2. "No one here really thought that the NIT would give St. Louis U. a home game against Notre Dame, did they? The NIT needs a high-profile school like Notre Dame to make it to the finals to maximize the tourney's exposure." Reading that just makes me want to end ND's season even more! I can't wait till Monday!! "Praises we sing, to you our alma mater, Praise to the white and blue. Our hymn shall ring, in tribute strong to you, We hail Saint Louis U." 3. Well I meant ND is the team we wanted after the NIT bracket came out. Everyone was saying they wanted a crack at ND due to the fact that they're also Catholic and the arrogance that comes with the fans. I don't think I say any posts saying they'd rather play Purdue. 4. I think this is the game we all wanted when we saw who we might matchup against in the second round. Let's just hope our boys don't start out as slow this next time. I know a few people from ND and I would love for nothing more than to rub this one in their faces! This is the game we've been wanting for the past 2+ years. 5. So far it's looking like a Catholic school match-up in the next round. ND is beating Purdue 39-30 at half. Definitely not an insurmountable lead though, as we saw last night. 6. If you didn't see it, Drejaj's clutch shot was the #1 play on SportsCenter. Great exposure for our school! Way to go Anthony...the Bronx (3-point) bomber! 7. I agree! Make the announcement as soon as possible. We would love for you to be a Billiken and help take us to the tourney every year. A backcourt with Lisch, Polk, and Liddell would be envied by almost all schools. Plus we could probably win an A-10 title or two with those three! Isn't there a rumor that he might announce this spring? I thought someone said their sources told them that. "Praises we sing, to you our alma mater, Praise to the white and blue. 8. Well that's true, but I wonder if the situation would have been the same if UNLV went to the "Big Dance?" That would have made for a sticky situation, but I guess Brad went through the same thing went he led Wisconsin to the NCAA Tourney and they gave Bo Ryan the job instead because they were going for the bigger name. 9. That's surprising to me. I figured with young Spoonhour leading them to the conference championship and ohhh sooo close to the "Big Dance", they would give him a shot to lead this team next season. I guess they decided to go after the bigger name. Hopefully Spoonhour can get his shot with another school sometime in the near future. 10. I think we're all big fans of Polk...even Bernie! "Finally: a quality point guard on Missouri's home floor. But it won't be of any use to Mizzou coach Quin Snyder; Polk is headed to St. Louis U." "Praises we sing, to you our alma mater, Praise to the white and blue. Our hymn shall ring, in tribute strong to you, We hail Saint Louis U." Official Billikens.com sponsor of Andrew Latimer
  11. Wow, now that's impressive! That might have clinched "Mr. Show-Me Basketball" for him. It makes you wonder how many points he could have scored this year if he would have took control like that every game. "Praises we sing, to you our alma mater, Praise to the white and blue. Our hymn shall ring, in tribute strong to you, We hail Saint Louis U." Official Billikens.com sponsor of Andrew Latimer
  12. Well I've never seen him play, but I would think so. I think he's around 6'8" and pretty explosive/athletic and that's the kind of player we need on this team. I don't know how skinny he is though. I would think he'd love the opportunity to play with Polk again though. With him, Tisby, and that other Juco power forward available (from Tom's school)we're looking at, I think Brad will be able to get that athletic power forward we've all been hoping for. 13. Thanks 3star, I figured Bernie didn't really know what he was talking about. The E. Stl/Vashon game is probably the only high school game he's attended all year. I figured Polk was the better ball handler and outside shooter...not taking anything away from Josh, however. Does Polk need to work on his free throw shooting? 14. Since Fisher is leaving after this year and most assume Polk will either be our starting point guard next year (or sometime in the near future), I was wondering how the two compare to each other? I was never a huge fan of Fisher as StlCardinal and Billikens_Fanatic will tell you, but I do admit that he really did improve a lot since he first arrived and was definitely one of our MVP's this year. I think it's pretty safe to say Polk is quicker. Who would you say is the better ball handler: Polk or Fisher? Who is the better shooter: Polk or Fisher? I remember Nate writing in his pre-season high school write-up that Polk was an excellent shooter, but Bernie wrote that he needs to be more consistant on his outside shot...who's right? I would say Nate would know better since he probably attends more high school games than Bernie. "Praises we sing, to you our alma mater, Praise to the white and blue. 15. Burwell's latest article compares SLU's and MU's seasons. I agree with most of it, except I don't really believe we "overachieved" or that Brad "constantly pushed his players to their absolute athletic limits and beyond." http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/sports/co...erent+reactions "Praises we sing, to you our alma mater, Praise to the white and blue. 16. The day AJ scores 45 against us is the day Pretty Q learns how to coach. I think it's pretty safe to say that'll never happen. M-I-Z N-I-T! 17. Hey, thanks everyone I really appreciate it. Scrivener, the girl is Leslie...the one you met the night of the Marquette game. That was actually our first time "hanging out" together and thank you for making her feel welcome and buying her a coke! Brehms, your dad is in my prayers as well. I hope he has a very fast recovery. 18. I know everyone is praying for Reggie's father right now, as am I. I was wondering if everyone could do me a favor and say a small prayer on behalf on my girlfriend? You see, my girlfriend (a junior at SLU) is currently on spring break in Spain. If you haven't seen the news lately, two trains in Madrid were bombed by terrorists killing over 180 people and injuring many others. She called me at 6:30 this morning to tell me about it and let me know that she was ok. Luckily she was in Granada at the time and not in Madrid. The scary part is she has ridden one of those trains many times on her trip. She also has to go back to Madrid tomorrow and will be there until she has to come home on Sunday. If you all could say a small prayer wishing her a safe trip back I would really appreciate it. I hope this doesn't appear to be selfish, I just want a special part of my life to come home safely. I'm sure you all understand and would feel the same way in my shoes. "Praises we sing, to you our alma mater, Praise to the white and blue. 19. Did anyone from the board go? If so, how did Kevin do? I'm assuming no SLU scouts were there since we play tomorrow night. It's probably hard for any scouts to get out this time of year with all the conference tournaments starting up. "Praises we sing, to you our alma mater, Praise to the white and blue. Our hymn shall ring, in tribute strong to you, We hail Saint Louis U." Official Billikens.com sponsor of Andrew Latimer
  20. Wow, that's pretty impressive Roy. I knew Lisch was very good, but I never thought of him being better than Liddell. If both are wearing the "Billiken blue" in a few years, I bet it's been a long long time since SLU had that much talent on the same team. "Praises we sing, to you our alma mater, Praise to the white and blue. Our hymn shall ring, in tribute strong to you, We hail Saint Louis U." Official Billikens.com sponsor of Andrew Latimer
  21. I'm with you cheesy! I would love for the series to get started again! I went to all three of the games they played with my "Mizzou-loving" family. We were all sad when the series came to an end. "Praises we sing, to you our alma mater, Praise to the white and blue. Our hymn shall ring, in tribute strong to you, We hail Saint Louis U." Official Billikens.com sponsor of Andrew Latimer
  22. Roy, I'm not disagreeing with you because I haven't seen any of these guys play (except for Polk in the state championship as a sophomore), but do you think Lisch is better than Liddell? If so, that would be quite impressive and Kevin must be severly underrated! "Praises we sing, to you our alma mater, Praise to the white and blue. Our hymn shall ring, in tribute strong to you, We hail Saint Louis U." Official Billikens.com sponsor of Andrew Latimer
  23. I'm sure Brad has all this figured out and he wouldn't recruit him so heavily if he had no where to put him. I could be wrong, but I figured Polk would start at the point, Lisch at the 2 guard, and then have Liddell start at small forward since he's got the height and the slashing ability. Then Meyer would be our offensive spark off the bench. I could definitely be wrong, but that's how I could see all this panning out if we get Lisch. "Praises we sing, to you our alma mater, Praise to the white and blue. Our hymn shall ring, in tribute strong to you, We hail Saint Louis U." Official Billikens.com sponsor of Andrew Latimer
  24. Do we know who else is interested in Tisby? He sounds like the perfect player to finalize this recruiting class with! "Praises we sing, to you our alma mater, Praise to the white and blue. Our hymn shall ring, in tribute strong to you, We hail Saint Louis U." Official Billikens.com sponsor of Andrew Latimer
  25. Yeah, you're probably right about that cheesy. Are you from Missouri? If so, what part? I'm actually from a town by Columbia (Mexico).
