  1. I worked in a financial support position for A-B Companies Inc for 11 years...1985-96. I traveled about 25-30% of the time and visited my share of A-B Wholesalers...never have met a poor one yet. Yes, I did make some sales calls with them and some of them were at shall we say establishments where the ladies show all they got. Heck, that's part of the business isn't it, checking the stock err, I meant to say rotating the stock. A-B was a cool place to work. I remember one time getting picked up at LAX by a limo driver with the card that had my name on it...surprised me that he got the whole thing on one card. I felt like the dude in the Bud Light commercial that day.
  2. I was disappointed that the Zags lost this game, but not too surprisingly to me Jameer Nelson put on a clinic. This guy is a stud PG and a good thing that we don't play St. Joes a couple of times this year as I would see two L's...Jameer has a good supporting cast. The Zags were hurting a little, but I know that they will be fine. I saw the Zags beat either a No. 1 or No. 2 Stanford Cardinal in a 2nd round NCAA game at the Key Arena when they started this run of NCAA appearances. They are a fun team to watch and Mizzou will really have their hands full, as this Zags team is loaded and capable of another deep run in the NCAA depending on their draw. They are now getting very highly rated recruits on a regular basis, and Mark Few is a heckuva HC.
  3. Different people...different tastes in humor. I've said countless times that Rome isn't for everyone, and I understand that. However, I wouldn't go as far as insinuating people who don't like him are idiots because I am far from being an idiot.
  4. I still follow the Mizzou football program from afar...kind of hard to completely forget all the years I spen going to games at Faurot Field. I watched a lot of their win over the Huskers at the sports bar in Tampa that we go to watch the UT games with the Tampa Chapter of UT Vol fans. I still enjoy seeing Mizzou win in football, and I am pleased that Gary Pinkel (who I think has a lot of Brad's attributes) has the football program on the right track.
  5. I do like Jim Rome and listen to him almost every day as his show comes on during my lunch hour. Is his show contrived? You bet and he is VERY full of himself, but that's OK for me because I know that already. I like him because he makes me laugh with some of his takes about crazy things that athletes and celebs do. Glad you are having a cold one or three...just hope it is an A-B product, as even though I don't work for them anymore, I still have a few shares of the stock laying around the house.
  6. I kind of like my music blaring but tonight is was Bryan Adams in my car CD player...going to see him in a few weeks at Ruth Eckerd Hall a fantastic venue in Clearwater. You'd be hardpressed to get any Rap into my CD player and yes my two daughters listen to it.
  7. A Bomb...I know all about that Auburn game as that loss is what is keeping the Vols from being right in the BCS hunt even though the team is lacking in the skill positions, especially WR. I hope your team takes care of GA tomorrow while Holtz and his boys take care of those Gators.
  8. I don't know at least he's consistent with his takes on the subject, and he likes soccer about as much as Rome does. Then again I usually get a charge out of Jim's soccer takes too on his show. Too each his own...lighten up...it's the weekend Dude, have a couple frosty cold ones.
  9. And me with tseugnekillib in between us at a bar with each of us sipping our favorite malt beverage and telling one funny story after another. Comedy central, huh, well maybe not. You did get a chuckle from me with your crack back.
  10. Jameer Nelson from St. Joes is one heckuva PG, but next to the Billikens the Zags are a real favorite of mine. I got to see them play many times in my Seattle days, and that OT NCAA Tourney game with Arizona last year was one of the real classics. I believe that the Zags are loaded AGAIN this year. Now there's a team (midmajor to boot) that does reload IMHO.
  11. Get the handcuffs out and we will put them behind his back, so Billiken Rich can NEVER freakin post a nasty post about soccer. Billiken Rich, you are really Jim Rome in disguise, aren't you! LOL!
  12. Yes, but Roy has already told us he doesn't care for college football at all...nothing wrong with that. We're different in that respect as I think there is nothing to match the pageantry of major college football. Right now, I'm trying to figure out what bowl game the Vols will play in, as if it is here in FL then we will want to go if we can get our hands on tickets. I am waiting for the day until SLU plays the Vols in basketball...it could have happened last year in the NIT if we had each won a couple rounds. We'll have a friendly dispute in our house if, and when that happens.
  13. Billiken Rich, You are doing your best Bauman or is it Bowman imitation now. LOL!
  14. I am a SLU Alum and no one on this website is any more passionate about the SLU Billikens in basketball. I like college football equally as well as I like college hoops, and SLU has no team. Before my lovely wife came along there was only one major college football team in the state so I became a Mizzou football fan and had season tickets from the Onofrio era until I jumped off Woody's Wagon. In the meantime I met and married my wife who happened to be a UT Vols Alum. After my first visit to see UT play at Neyland Stadium, I instantly became a UT Vols fan and I'd wager that I am every bit as passionate a fan as many graduates of that school. While I might watch a UT basketball game, I don't consider myself a fan. I think it is easy to be a fan of more than one U especially seeing our circumstance of no football team. Go Vols...run the table and get that BCS bowl game!!!
  15. Actually, I would not mind being a younger version of Hugh Heffner.
  16. Roy, You and I need to donate half of their junk to the next gypsy caravan...when is it???
  17. Hey Bauman or is it Bowman...lighten up a bit. This isn't spelling 101. Heck, people are constantly not spelling or pronouncing my last name correctly and I never have a freakin hissy fit over it.
  18. You go ahead and root for who you want to root for...me, Go Orange beat MSU on Saturday, and let's see...what should I do while in Cozumel the day before Thanksgiving???
  19. Please you are giving the snake oil salesman too much credit. He'll be toast soon as Hedges doesn't stay with her hires for too long.
  20. Bob, Cars in two sides and lots of junk in the 3rd. We aupposedly had a moving sale before leaving our Edmonds, WA house; however, I think my wife is the Queen of all pack rats. What a bunch of junk!!!
  21. What's a basement? Didn't have one in Seattle...luckily, we do have an oversized 3 car garage here in Palm Harbor, FL. Oh! The tradeoffs to live in the sunshine state year round.
  22. They obviously don't have the visionary at the helm as SLU does in Fr. Biondi, so they took the money and ran. I still say it is a house of cards and there will be the same back stabbing between football and non-football schools. When it gets too bad then that's when we might start hearing rumblings about the papal conference again.
  23. I didn't even watch that fiasco...too busy between Cruisecritic.com planning our Thanksgiving cruise and finding a half way decent UT Vols football fan website. I'm sure those were a heckuva lot more interesting last night.
  24. Gotta believe that Brad will be really beating the bushes to find a PF for next year.
  25. I don't care much for Calipari as a HC, so I don't lose any sleep when his team loses.
